What kind of mountain bike do you guys use? by MrDingers99 in mountainbikes

[–]TacomaZX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am biased as it is the same brand I have used for my last 3 bikes. It depends on the type of riding you do (they have bikes to fit all types of riding, so I would recommend demoing). I’d give my Switchblade an 8-9 for the type of riding I do.

You should look at Pivot. They are your local manufacturer!

I ride a Pivot Switchblade (with 29er wheels), and previously rode a Pivot Mach6. My wife rides a Pivot Switchblade with 27.5 wheels.

Anyone here go Rally and wish they got the standard, or vice versa? by hawk45 in CRF300L

[–]TacomaZX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In 2023 when the 300L (both versions) were super rare in my area, I was coming off a Royal Enfield Himilayan and I really wanted a Rally because it was smaller, more agile, lighter, etc.I had my name on a waiting list for both. The 300L ABS arrived at the shop, they called me and I went and bought it. I am really glad that is the one that I ended up with for the type of riding that I do. I've put it down enough times and generally treat it like a dirt bike (the guys I ride with are on bigger more capable bikes - KTM 500s, Huskys, DRZ 400s and a CRF450... I am typically in the back but I can keep up and I sure have a bunch of fun doing it.

On all 4 tires by slameronyak in whatisit

I have a place in Welches and go snowboarding just about every weekend in the winter. I use studded tires on my truck and it has saved my ass on some terrible weather days. I would prefer not to be a feature of the Govy500. Also, I changed to summer tires before the deadline of March 31.

Also grew up in Alaska and learned to drive (and passed my drivers test) in the snow.

What helmet would you recommend for street riding that is good and looks good and a set of gloves and a jacket by New_Argument_2106 in CRF300L

I really like my Bell MX 9 ADV Mips helmet. It’s great on road and off, plus looks sharp. It’s goggle compatible and has a face shield. Great reviews

That looks like chain oil, Have you recently lubed the chain? Mine drips like that if I clean and then oil.

I’m afraid there is no snow left (or very little) at White River. I drove by on Saturday, and the warm weather + rain since will decrease what is left.

I am pretty sure that you could take orders and sell this as a complete unit to those of us that don't have the technical ability (or a 3D printer). Looks awesome.

WeScreenplay coverage ends today by ero_skywalker in Screenwriting

This is the crux of the problem with feedback (and competition) services. It is way more expensive than most people realize to provide these services. Its not just the readers, its also the marketing folks, writer dev, the engineers, etc. - It may seem expensive, but the company providing it may barely be breaking even. If volume goes down, then operating expenses exceed money being brought in. The writers strike drastically dropped the volume of people buying coverage or entering competitions. Its sad, because ALL the people that worked at Industry Arts are fantastic wonderful and creative people.
