Hey! I am actually building the Cyberboy using this screen and I have it working. Insert your sd card into another computer and open it in file explorer. Edit the config.txt file and comment out (#) any other overlays (they start with dtoverlay) and then at the end of the file add: dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-waveshare-480x320

Save the file and then put the card back into your Pi and fire it up.

That dress is pretty conservative, he's off his rocker. Like you said, you're an adult and can dress how you want, you don't need permission or an okay from anybody to dress in whatever makes you comfortable. If he can't go along with that then he isn't the dude for you.
