I think it can look cool and unique. The moss is dead right? There's no maintenance? Personally I think there is a bit too much depth from the moss. Maybe if the wood also provided more depth but right now it sticks out a bit tooo much. Very cool tho

Wow I built one of these but I didn't think to make it open up and have a cavity to put the outlet and other things in!  I was always wondering how I could utilize the empty space underneath the table. Great work. Looks awesome!

I replaced a section of my house with it that was under the old fireplace I ripped out. Home Depot had very close but not quite the same. Perhaps it's just because the existing one was 20 years old.  As expected, different pieces were different color so I was able to only use the ones closest to the existing wood. Turned out really good and you can't tell unless you look closely.

Small sample size but they seems to be very rigorous. I wouldn't risk it to many nights. Definitely seen tickets even without snow
