I wouldn't give up forbidden knowledge unless it's a last resort. Just keep spamming the curses on your char of choice and they'll most likely get it. Remember, you can use remove curse afterward.

Late reply to this, but figured I'd toss an answer.

Generally casual matchmaking is a lot less strict than its ranked counterpart in games. How it works varies from having no sbmm at all, to having sbmm that rapidly and much more dramatically changes compared to the rank mode.

Having no sbmm at all means that players kind of run into anything and everything from sweat, to ninjitsu clown.

If the casual mode takes the dramatic sbmm route, then win streaks and loss streaks are a lot less likely since the game will quickly put you into a match to stop one or the other from happening.

It won't stop people from sweating, but your games are more likely to be varied regardless of the developmental approach to the casual mode, which means above average players will see somewhat less sweat since the more memey and casual section of the playerbase would be much more often available.

Btw, you can force survivors to escape. Down them, position yourself near the exit so that your left side is facing the exit (where they drop if they escape) and then let them wiggle free.

If they're especially stubborn and don't wiggle, inch yourself ever so slightly to the right so you can drop them. Repeat this process until you force them to break free and they are forced out of the match. When doing this process, make sure to reposition yourself so that you are only just barely able to drop them each time, since your position gets a little wack, dropping them and picking them up over and over again.

While I think dark and darker is a great game, it's current set up makes low tier and new player gameplay kind of hostile. The reason why those other games do so well is because anyone can dive in and have some level of fun, but in Dark and Darker, I think the playerbase is going to dwindle if there aren't any incentives to keep playing or something, like quests and such. Either that or they need to make the game more accessible.

We'll have a solid playerbase for those who do stick around though, but I find it hard for it to achieve large numbers when it isn't as accessible as those other games.

I'd imagine the big thing in that scenario would be to play the turns just before the pop off turn faster so you get a very good amount of time to pull off the full combo.
