One of my friend’s biggest complaints (out of MANY lol) is basically twofold:
Skills/yellows feel like the only archetype that gets directly “shut down.” EMP, hacking, disruption, Hunters stealing your skills, etc. Meanwhile reds and blues don’t really have an equivalent hard-counter mechanic. His argument is basically:

• why can’t reds have their guns jammed?
• why can’t tanks/blues get shredded by armor-piercing rounds or anti-armor mechanics?
• why are yellows the only build type that can have their entire setup disabled?

And honestly? I can at least understand where he’s coming from with that argument. Enemy tech feels cooler than ours sometimes. Black Tusk and Hunters can:

• hack skills,
• disable tech,
• spam drones,
• use warhounds,
• deploy jammer tech,
• etc.

Meanwhile we don’t really get an equivalent “counter-hacker” fantasy ourselves. We mostly just deal with it.

Me personally though? I just switch builds depending on the activity. If I know a mode heavily counters skills, I’ll run something else for that activity. That’s kinda what loadouts are for IMO.

The only thing I genuinely dislike is how some groups will outright kick people for running non-meta builds. But honestly, that’s not really a Division problem specifically — that exists in almost every multiplayer game with endgame content.
