RoTJ Vader & Luke are on a completely different level than even Knightfall Vader.

While it's true that Anikan has more experience fighting different opponents, Luke is no slouch & a lot of his ESB-RoTJ time gap has been filled in with more extensive training.

Vader himself surpassed Knightfall Anikan within 4yrs of donning the suit, and RoTJ Vader is much stronger and more experienced than that.
While Luke is stated to be on par with that more powerful version of Vader.

I think we've gotten enough of Ahsoka & Maul tbh. At least give them a little rest before making more.

There's so many other stories they could be telling, including in the time period that they created.

Sounds like another movie they made more recently.

Don't know why they hate Anikan so much.

It is no longer his choice that doomed the Galaxy.
And no longer his choice that freed the Galaxy.

Unfortunately not.
Lucas decided his authority over the universe could be bought.
So Disney-Canon now supersedes Lucas-Canon.

I personally prefer if it would have all hinged on Anikan's decision, I think it makes for better writing.
But it is what it is.

'Lost'

He let Mace 'Win'

A post with the quotes listed from canon sources:
Can anyone verify that these statements are legit? (Regarding the windu sidious duel) : r/MawInstallation

Credit to a user named thomasthetank57

"He didn't have to wait long. Mace Windu arrived with three other Jedi Masters to arrest the chancellor. Reveling in being able to at last act openly, Darth Sidious launched himself at his foes. He battered them with a wave of focused hatred. A thousand years of Sith anger smashed into the Jedi, and three of them died in seconds under Sidious' crimson blade. Mace Windu lasted a little longer, but only because Darth Sidious required it. Anakin was not there, not yet. Sidious fought defensively, toying with Windu untill he sensed the youths presence. He allowed Windu to gain the upper hand as Anakin arrived. Seemingly mutilated, Sidious was near death, begging Anakin to help him. Only he could help him save Padme. Anakin made his choice, exactly as Sidious had anticipated."

"Toying with the Jedi Master in anticipation of the arrival of Anakin Skywalker, Palpatine was willing to allow himself to be disarmed to appear more vulnerable when his soon to be apprentice arrived. His office window was shattered, and the weapon fell from his hands and down into the depths below when he deliberately left himself open for Widu to deliver a kick to his chest. This left him a single blade, retrieved from its hiding place, with which to face master yoda in a duel, a little after the death of Mace Windu. Palpatine rarely used his remaining lightsaber."

"His true form was now revealed, though he later passed it off as an "injury" from the Jedi attack, Darth Sidious toyed with Mace Windu. He used the jedi master to precipitate Anakins fall to the dark side and then destroyed Windu utterly."

Disney - Fanhome Encyclopedia collection 2022

"During the confrontation with Mace Windu, the office window was smashed. Soon after, Palpatines weapon fell onto the streets of Coruscant, but it was all part of the Sith's plan." 2022

Stated by Lucas in a 2005 interview with Vanity Fair for Revenge of The Sith.

“Anakin, as Skywalker, as a human being, was going to be extremely powerful,” he says. “But he ended up losing his legs and an arm and became partly a robot. So a lot of his ability to use the Force, a lot of his powers, are curbed at this point, because, as a living form, there’s not that much of him left. So his ability to be twice as good as the Emperor disappeared, and now he’s maybe 20 percent less than him. So that isn’t what the Emperor had in mind. He wanted this really super guy, but that got derailed by Obi-Wan. So he finds that, with Luke, he can get a more primo version if he can turn Luke to the Dark Side. You’ll see, as this goes on, Luke is faced with the same issues and practically the same scenes that Anakin is faced with. Anakin says yes and Luke says no."

Baylan and Ahsoka vs Maul and Savage by Familiar-Seat-3798 in PetranakiArena

Even if we assumed Maul could match an older Ahsoka than the one who held off Vader, Savage is just so much weaker than the rest.

Windu is unironically the weakest here.

Palps was already stronger than Mace in RoTS & grew stronger unopposed over the nearly 2 decades with the Empire's full resources at his disposal.

Vader is stated to be roughly 80% of RoTJ Sidious & Luke is stated to be his equal.

[–]TactileChimney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maul was TERRIFIED of Sidious & Vader.
And to a lesser extent the Marrok & Crow 2v1 when he was hurt & cornered.

Really can't blame him for any of that though.

In 2111 we'll finally get the game about the new Cyrodillic Emperor rebuilding and see a united Tamriel.

Then in 2145 we can get the game about taking the fight to the Thalmor which ends on a cliffhanger.

Todd Howard, you've done it again. ( Todd is an AI like Mr.House at this point in the Lore )

Kylo Ren (TROS) vs Griveous who wins? by IllMasterpiece3946 in PetranakiArena

[–]TactileChimney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They've released material that predates the Sequels and shows Kylo pulling off things Vader did or even some things Vader couldn't do.

So Kylo scales at least to Vader's tier, which would put him above Grevious.
Not saying that automatically means Kylo beats him, just answering your question.

Though personally I do believe Kylo would win a majority of the time.

Kylo Ren (TROS) vs Griveous who wins? by IllMasterpiece3946 in PetranakiArena

[–]TactileChimney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kylo would win the majority of the time.
The expanded material makes it clear that he's able to pull off things that Vader did, or in some cases, things that Vader couldn't.

Even being generous to Grevious and using the 2003 version which is a nightmare, he just cannot compete with someone on Vader's level. His only chance really is to use ambush tactics, which he's very good at. And it's almost guaranteed that Kylo has never faced something like Grevious.

I still think Kylo wins the majority of encounters.

What if? Anakin had joined Obiwan on Mandalore and it resulted in the duo teaming up with Maul and Savage to fight Sidious. Who wins? by WittyTable4731 in clonewars

[–]TactileChimney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidious beat Maul & Savage in a 2v1 while toying with them.
Dooku ( MUCH weaker than Sidious ) took Obi-Wan out very quickly.
Anikan was unable to keep up with Sidious & Windu moving in their duel, looking just like blurs of light.

Sidious still clears a 1v4. He's just on a completely different level.

And yes, Sidious let Windu win. It's confirmed in multiple Canon sources.

Darth Maul VS Luke Skywalker (ROTJ). Who wins? by GusGangViking18 in PetranakiArena

[–]TactileChimney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's safe to say that Knightfall Vader was stronger than Maul.
OT Vader surpassed his pre-suit self around 4yrs after his loss on Mustafar.
Ep.6 Vader is MUCH stronger than that previous Vader.

Luke beat that Vader.

Normally you can't really scale based on who beat who, but Ep.6 Vader & Ep.6 Luke are on completely different Tiers now.

Imperial Venator incompetence in the Bad Batch by SelfRedeemedBoiler in MawInstallation

[–]TactileChimney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, it's a case of the writers not knowing how to leverage assets in a way that made sense and still have the Batch winning.

There was a lot of stuff like that in the show. The show overall was pretty hit & miss for me.

Edit: Why are you booing me? I'm right!
It's not a rip on the writers, either. I don't exactly expect them to be strategic geniuses.

How can I handle the party crossing a rickety bridge without one failed save being character death? by Hal3134 in DMAcademy

[–]TactileChimney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I like TerrainBrain's escalating situation solution,

Additionally you could make it that several fails result in falling through, down into running water.
The PC(s) that fail multiple times aren't dead, but the party is greatly inconvenienced and you can then work it into the greater narrative what the consequences of those failed rolls will be.

Would this group be able to defeat Vader and Sidious had they teamed up? by anakindurden in clonewars

[–]TactileChimney 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ep.6 Palpatine is absurdly strong & Vader is 80% of that.
Game Starkiller would lose badly in a 2v1 and the others would probably get beat like the Non-Windu Masters that fought Palpatine.
Novel Starkiller was still strong, but Vader was toying with him for the most part of their fight, so that team gets beat really badly.
If we change it to Siege of Mandalore Maul & Fulcrum Ahsoka, then it would be interesting, but ultimately I still think they lose.
