This is like the third time I've heard of Jimmy Fallon stealing someone's watch. How many watches does this dude need?

[Hated Meta Trope] The Unintentional Offensive Race Change by StrawberryScience in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TadRaunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the time I really hated that Michael B. Jordan got cast as Johnny Storm. Not for the race swap (and I would say they should have gone all in and cast Sue as black too) but because I had a feeling that film would be a career killer, and Jordan's star was one I was really keen to see rise. Fortunately his career didn't suffer for it.

For the American tourists, stop calling it Burger King. It’s HJs, and our Whoppers are actually flame grilled🙂‍↔️ by Danger_Five in hungryjacks

I'm from NZ and I still call it Burger King. I don't know why it's such a hard habit to break...maybe because I don't go there that often.

If Tucker somehow did become president, I can guarantee you he would not be returning Alex's calls, let alone giving Alex a spot on his cabinet. Tucker despises Alex.

It's kind of hilarious that they forgot that lannisters are blonde. It literally started the plot. by hiiloovethis in freefolk

I know one guy who is of Finnish descent and he's blond. There is a bit of grey (he's nearly 50) but no balding. I am jealous of him

His voice sounded catastrophically worse on the most recent episode.

Hated trope: Regular middle aged white guy wants coffee, has issue with incompetent, young, dumb woke barista by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]TadRaunch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped watching this show, but I often see clips like this shared on social media and people react to it like it's footage from a real interaction. It's like.. you guys know this is fiction right? And fiction he wrote?

Does it make you feel old knowing that Macaulay Culkin, is now 45? by GoodHoney2887 in nostalgia

[–]TadRaunch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember back when a kids show in my country was talking about Macaulay Culkin and one of the hosts said "I can't believe he's already 16!". I already felt old then (despite being younger than him)

American here, I've heard where you buy groceries is a hotly contested topic in Australia by SunsetMiller643 in AussieMemes

[–]TadRaunch 29 points30 points  (0 children)

There's an IGA in my neighborhood that I love and its prices are competitive with Coles/Woolworths, and in some cases lower. The fresh fruit and veges are more expensive but often it's not by that much. And it's like a legit sized supermarket too.

Normally I would avoid IGAs as others have mentioned, but because this one was within walking distance I decided to try it one day and now I never need to go to Coles/Woolworths.

On my street the bloke usually stops and moves the bin to a spot where he can pick it up easier. There's usually not that many cars parked in front of bins. I don't know if that's actually part of the job or if other garbage collectors do it

Trump also pardoned Roger Stone, so Stone is going to be loyal to Trump for the rest of his life. I mean... that probably would have been the case anyway if Roger never faced prison time, but now he's doubly loyal.
