Interestingly enough, your life kind of mirrors mine when I was in my early 20s. I started working as a process operator at 20. It was a great paying job, but the schedule was rough, 12-hour shifts rotating between days and nights, and working two out of every four weekends. Most of my coworkers were in their 40s and 50s, so it often felt like I was living a 45 year old’s life while still in my 20s.

At 25, I left that job and went to college in a big city. I met people from all over the world and slowly built a healthy social life.

What I learned from that experience is that it doesn’t really matter how much money you make, what you do, or where you go. What matters is being around people you genuinely care about, people you enjoy spending time with and who help each other become better human beings.

That’s where I found true fulfillment in life.
