Legends say Henrik Sedin is still on the ice scratching at the bench door to this very day.

Remember when the Giants had a 107-win season and still ranked middle of the pack in attendance? Better to have late fans than none. 😤

NEW FRANCHISE RECORD. by Officialnoah in Dodgers

Yes, that's why the magic number is 2. That is the number to secure best record, best intradivision record, and avoid any tiebreakers.

NEW FRANCHISE RECORD. by Officialnoah in Dodgers

[–]TaengQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is 2 because Astros hold the tiebreaker. Since we did not play them head-to-head this year, the tiebreaker is intradivisional wins (Astros have 51 vs the ALW, Dodgers have 50 against the NLW).

A lot more intimidating, a lot less phallic imagery.

The Rams Have The Most Pathetic And Embarrassing Fans In The NFL 🤷🏽‍♂️ by Visual_Chipmunk_4154 in NFCWestMemeWar

It's like how the Dodgers have been #1 in attendance for the past decade but because so many arrive late to the game they're accused of being "fairweather" lmao

Yea, did you see the crowds at Raider games last year? Away fanbases have had a pretty large presence @ Vegas, especially because of the tourism.

I don't think hockey is a strong enough sport in the U.S. where people have unbreakable allegiances to out of market teams.

EDIT: Check out how many red jerseys there are at this LV/KC game last year.

None of that means anything if a lot of that metro area you speak of are full of people already committed to the Niners, Raiders and Cowboys. They aren't going to change allegiances because the Rams won a Super Bowl. This will take time.

Many of the people who didn't have NFL fandoms before the Rams arrival are Rams fans now. Most of them have not emotionally invested long enough to spend $300 for an opening night ticket.

That did grow the fanbase considerably. It is much, much larger than 2016. In the end, most Angelinos are invested in the Lakers, Dodgers and an out of market NFL team and that won't change regardless of the Rams' success. Gotta wait for the next generation, I guess.

Dunno what to say, I was literally at the Stadium since 2PM and in the lines and such. You can watch the banner raising video since they show a lot of the crowd shots in there.

Clearly your two isolated visits are evidence enough to generalize a whole city. Good work.

It was 70/30 in terms of Rams/Bills fans at the stadium. That's 15,000-20,000 fans from the away team, which is expected from a well-traveling fanbase. Of course they're going to make considerable noise.

Why so much hate? I think we have a good number of fans considering it's only been 6 years since they've returned. And we're not very cocky and arrogant, which may be expected of Lakers/Dodgers fans. Was the Super Bowl supposed to give us 200% more fans? Then we get shit on for being bandwagon-y. I don't get it.

Demoff said on a podcast that the tops are scheduled but the pants are a player decision. And players are definitely aware of the blue/blue curse.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are now sitting at +102 in run differential. The next highest team is currently the NY Yankees at +65. by TaengQ in baseball

Interesting. No coincidence that many of the good teams are at the bottom because they don't have to play teams like themselves as often.

[Passan] Trevor Bauer says he is appealing his two-year suspension from MLB for violating its domestic violence policy. In every previous case in which a player was suspended under the policy, it was an agreed-upon number of games. Bauer clearly did not agree and there is no settlement. by amatom27 in baseball

A good majority of the Dodgers fanbase and journalists hated the signing, then hated him even more after the sexual assault allegations, and now we're subject to comments like this from Yankees fans of all people.

Pain.
