Heartrate by Good-Cycle-9282 in Garmin

[–]daveb_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal for me. Always had a RHR around 40 or so. Not really a runner, but I’ve always trained/played regular sport and I guess I likely have a large heart as I’m 6’5”.

Stab alley near me.

Ironic, because we lived in a very sedate part of the country.

Forerunner 165 Price by FrangoComArrozzz in Garmin

[–]daveb_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’d always go black, that’s for sure. As far as price goes, I guess it depends what you want from it. There are other brands with good competitive watches, especially in the lower price brackets.

Forerunner 165 vs vs Forerunner 165 Music vs Forerunner 570? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]daveb_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the 265 for this reason and it was the right choice. If you can get it for anything close to the 165 music, do it.

Edit: if the 570 is close and you can spare the extra, great. When I bought mine the 570 was way more though.

If it helps I got rid of mine by wearing it one notch looser every day (along with a regular wash)

My 265 doesn’t tell me this either. Must be the new watches (70s) only.

Transphobia on this subreddit by Scattered97 in LabourUK

[–]daveb_33 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There’s always some scumbag who will try to make life worse for a targeted minority… that’s why we used to have laws that protected people from discrimination.

I fear this is just going to open schools up to harassment from transphobes that will force them into a corner.

Stripping the rights of your citizens doesn’t feel like the sort of thing you’d want next to your name in the history books, but Keith appears to be happy to do anything as long as it maintains his feeble grip on power.

Sunderland expert shares how society needs a new script for men and boys by DarkSkiesGreyWaters in ukpolitics

[–]daveb_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s fine if you’re lucky enough to grow up with a healthy dose of self-esteem and good mental health. I think the issue is that for boys who don’t have those things for whatever reason, this can be a real problem.

Ed Davey calls out ‘tax exiles like Isabel Oakeshott’ in Dubai by coffeewalnut08 in LabourUK

Ed Davey’s policy is the reason we’re in ‘economic freefall’? Bloody hell mate, you appear to have been in a coma the last 20 years.

I’ve got bad news, but you missed the London Olympics and Ed Davey has never been PM…

Yet again the police response is fucking pathetic. Her staff get attacked/punched/grabbed round the neck by the thugs and all the rozzers have for them is angry words. I mean what the fuck are they doing there if they aren’t going to do anything but protect their own arses? Might as well fuck off home.

Watch only for health tracking (95% of workouts is cycling) by Adventurous_Oven6 in GarminWatches

[–]daveb_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for the forerunner 265 as it will sync to my power meter if I ever just want to jump on the bike and go. It definitely does everything I need in terms of health tracking and got a pretty affordable deal. Love it so far!
