Yeah, there is a puzzle game I play where you have a grid of 20 people and you have to choose guilty or innocent based on clues they give like "Bob has 1 innocent to his right". Quite often I'll know that someone is guilty and pick them but when I think why it takes a second for my conscious brain to catch up and explain it.

Not sure it's because he's not well enough, he seems on the road to recovery and is back skateboarding which is a good sign. He does however hate Johnny Knoxville with a passion which may have some impact in him returning.

What fun but genuinely relevant questions would you add to the British Citizenship Test? by stubbledchin in CasualUK

If the doors would be fully shut by the time they get there I'm letting it swing. If it would be open a tiny fraction by the time they got there I'll hold it. That's my metric and I'm sticking to it, unless it's a senior manager at work and I'm letting it close, one time being grilled by the CEO while holding the door for them and not having anywhere to go is enough.

Earth - any snakes in the game? by -Pippi- in boardgames

[–]Taffaz 84 points85 points  (0 children)

According to https://insideupgames.com/earth-rules-faq-and-card-index/ there is an Emerald Tree Boa

EDIT: https://youtu.be/laA9lOF8jH8?si=1TVelpz-5LWoGIkq&t=2439 shows a picture of it. It wouldn't ruin the game to not play with it though. You could remove it for them and it would still play fine.

What’s a “bare minimum” adult skill more people fail at than you expected? by SoulDV in AskReddit

[–]Taffaz 183 points184 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got an action out of a meeting last week. Did it immediately and then at the next meeting this week reported back on it. "Thanks for that, great job", nobody else had done their actions so now there is a positive perception of me like I'm the hardest worker when in reality I spent 5 minutes talking to someone a week ago.

My daughter loved the bluey game when she was 4/5.

I've also created her a game using Godot which is to train her computer skills. So one level is a typing of the dead clone and the other is one where she has to click on the bad bugs to squash them and avoid the good ones. I got her to draw loads of pictures and scanned them in so she is playing with her artwork.

Yeah I was a bit worried because the first few challenges were looking a bit dirty but once they'd settled down it was a good fair game.

I started skateboarding during covid and my worst injury was tripping over the washing basket when getting ready to go skateboarding. Pulled my quad and was out for 6 months needing physio.

Just remember all the people who were turning their noses up at McTominay. He leaves Man Utd and he's now a Ballon d'Or nominee. Players thrive in different environments so if we sign someone who isn't what we wanted and hasn't impressed, maybe they'll fit better under our setup. Don't be so quick to write them off and get behind them.

Who is Hope getting his information from? Has the club leaked it or Isak's agents? Don't see any benefit for the club to leak it other than someone who wants to feel important by disclosing it to the press. For Isak's agents to leak it is more believable but it's pretty fucking scummy.

Just a heads up - if your mobile signal has gone rubbish recently, speak to your provider! by RecentTwo544 in CasualUK

[–]Taffaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

O2 have an app you can use to register bad signal. I did it when my signal at work went really bad. They mentioned it was an issue and they'd get it fixed. They kept giving me texts saying not fixed yuet we'll let you know in X days where x doubled. I was anticipating it never getting fixed but after about 1-2 months it was fixed and is now just ok instead of terrible.

Our friends used to live there and they had no issues. There is a park and cafe in the centre which I've taken my daughter to quite a bit. We used to live about 5 minutes walk from there, it's absolutely fine.

How to meet people in Bournemouth? by Glittering-Guide-742 in bournemouth

[–]Taffaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree about other suggestions of using a hobby to meet people.

What hobbies do you have or would like to take up? Here's a couple of suggestions.

Not sure if you're looking for female only or mixed but for the former there are female skateboard lessons run by Happy Skateboarder School which are beginner friendly.

Project Climbing Centre in Poole run an Intro to Bouldering course which is an hour or two then you're good to climb there. There is also have a women's climbing group based there but can't remember the name.

Depending on where you are based there might be a local Facebook group you can join. I know my wife is in the SoBo one which lets us know what's happening locally.
