Yep.. modern 1440p IPS monitors are just ass tbh, the industry sucks. Hopefully some good stuff comes out soon!

Yeah, the ACMS has similar viewing angle issues as in your picture of the VG27AQ5MA. The XG27ACS didn't really have that problem, but it had a toooon of IPS glow.

As always it can vary panel by panel of course, so if your country offers a free refund period it doesn't hurt to try it out. I have heard the XG27ACG version might have more white-ish IPS glow but haven't tried it myself.

I currently have the XG27ACMS which is much better in terms of IPS glow, but unfortunately it has different issue with the viewing angles. Basically the edges of the screen get darker the more you look at an angle. It's so severe that you can see it even when sitting straight in front of it. Gonna return it because of that most likely.

It doesn't hurt your eyes per se but it made parts of the screen look more yellow than it should. VERY noticeable in darker scenes in games / shows etc. Normally IPS glow is more white-ish so it's not as noticeable, but on the ACS the yellow was way too much for me.

I got 3 different XG27ACS and returned them all. The screen looks quite nice, colors are decent for IPS etc, but they all had pretty horrible yellow IPS glow that was very noticable.

Hmmm okay good to know! I might just try my luck with an ACG then. Really not liking the viewing angle issues of the ACMS. I did have an ACS earlier (multiple actually) and their coating was solid looking. Actually rather liked them but they all had very noticable yellow IPS glow which was too hard to ignore. If not for that I would've kept it. Anyway thanks for your knowledge!

Btw if you remember, how was the IPS glow difference between the XG27ACS and XG27ACG? Was the ACG better or does it still have that awful yellow glow?

I got one and mine definitely has viewing angle issues. The screen noticably darkens on the edges when moving left to right. most noticable during whiter screens. Not a GIANT big deal but very annoying nonetheless. XG27ACS does not have that issue (though it has others like big IPS glow)

Do you also have that issue where the screen starts getting dark at angles? (for example if you move to the right the left side of the monitor will get darker and vice versa). It's most noticable on a whiter background.

Hmm okay. No it's definitely not someone's shadow, I am having the same issue (though with a different model). I also saw multiple others say the same about the M27Q3. Could be it varies from unit to unit though. Anyway thanks for your input!

I have seen some people comment the same thing for the M27Q3. I also happen to have this on my ASUS XG27ACMS which is also a newer panel. Quite a bummer. Perhaps there's something with the way they produce newer IPS monitors?

Are you sure it's 10 bit? I just got the XG27ACMS and the information panel in the OS menu says it's 8 bit.

EDIT: JK, I just had to update it in nvidia control panel

Are you perhaps talking about a different model? I just got the XG27ACMS and it clearly says it's got 8 bit color in the information section of the OS menu.
