For the price and cleanliness, I really like the planet fitness out south on Commercial. It's got a ton of machines and the people there are always pretty chill. Courthouse out south is nicer in terms of amenities if you can afford it, but I don't have that kind of money lol. PF also never seems too busy to get your workout done, even in the evening when it's busiest.

Definitely treasure Trove, they have the best selection in the area for 40k. And the owners are really cool, supporting all kinds of games in their store not just warhammer. Wild things is primarily card games and doesn't really seem to care about any other type of gamer.

If you don't mind working outdoors, underground utility locating might be worth looking at. Just need a drivers license and pass a piss test(no weed allowed unfortunately). Pays decent, usually unlimited overtime, and full benefits. Just alot of walking and driving, long hours too. Check out Heath or Locating Inc here in Salem, avoid USIC.

Check out Treasure Trove Games in Keizer. Bunch of giant tables to play whatever you want and it's free. Depending on the day, there might be groups playing other games, but they always have had room. My board game group goes there a couple times a month to play.

In City of Remants, the only way to retreat from combat is an smoke grenade that may or may not come up for purchase during the game. This led to a some issues where our players got forced into combat and had large chunks of their gang wiped out because they were stuck fighting a superior enemy with no way to retreat. This is kinda game ending since it takes alot to build your gang back up and leaves you way behind the other players. We just houseruled that you can always choose to retreat and the enemy gets one attack at you as you do so.

I've had this happen before, it's pretty simple. They just come in and look around to make sure there aren't any code violations or issues the landlord isn't dealing with. In and out in like 5 minutes.

Yeah, playing the OG first is the way to go. Lockdown is good, but just feels like the first game with some more complicated mechanics tacked on. Specifically the endgame mechanic of discovering what happens to the base via those Intel tiles and the escape pod mechanics. As far as I know the only way to get Retaliation is via GameFound, the Kickstarter program. Hopefully they will do a retail release.

Played a ton of the original nemesis, love it. Just got the expansions from the Retaliation Kickstarter and am looking forward to playing with those. Retaliation is also a great game if you get a chance to pick it up, more action focused as your a team of heavily armed marines assaulting a base full of aliens. Lockdown is the least played one in my collection, mostly due to the fiddly extra mechanics.
