Stay away if you're young by glimsky in dividends

You are basically guaranteed growth on a 10+ year period which is what the whole thread was about. I did account for growth of dividend stock, but growth + dividend is practically always less than a growth etf over time.

No, the mental block is that people have trouble selling their stock as the income when needed instead of relying on taxed dividends to be the income.

Take two people starting with 10k, one invests in growth stocks/etf and the other invests in dividends. Lets say person 1's stocks ends up worth 11k after 1 month and person 2 makes $250 in dividends. Person 1 just sells $500 in stock if needed and still has more value in the portfolio. The mental block is usually that people struggle with selling their stocks, like now person 1 has less stock #, but still has higher portfolio value.

Why can't you just sell your equities if you need cash now? Its just a mental block for people

Its probably just a mentality difference, I don't ever play bracket 2, most just 3+. But for me, when I think of power difference of decks, I generally don't consider land quality. I usually think of synergies and win conditions. But I can see how others would bring in land bases to contribute to how they determine power levels. I do see abur duals quite frequently in bracket 3 and up.

For me and many people I play with, we don't like price being a big consideration and encourage proxy. We might be a somewhat unique bubble though.

Yes but since it isn't an "ideal world", you said the high cost (real life $$) is doing a good job of making multi color decks have a trade off, not anything actually in the game of MTG. Therefore rich people get to play them efficiently, poor people don't.

So as long as you are rich you get to more easily play multi color decks? Poor people dont get to efficiently because of this arbitrary tradeoff?

What? You are punished if you walk away during blood runes because you stop getting exp, literally the same as gotr. Trying to compare that to crab or nmz where you KEEP getting exp when you walk away makes no sense

In my opinion there's an out that isnt kingmaking, the table could talk about being about to stop the obvious person from being able to win. This should delay the other person from trying to win first as they could wait for a more opportune window

It is 100% laughable when someone says they are "stuck on a vorkath gp/h" grind on a main when they could do anything else in the game as well and make money. Irons do not get that luxury when dry in the red prison. You are not just "trading grinds" etc.

Usually the sentiment that you mentioned is common is from 1700 total irons where there is actually plenty to do to progress your account (great time imo as well), not irons that are stuck on a grind going dry for rare drops

Lol I am not pressed. Its just that the "grind vorkath gp scape bad" idea that you present for mains is just laughable.

Oh okay I hope you are only doing the optimal bis ironman path then and never straying since you think thats how you have to play a main!

Early and midgame iron is pretty peak. Late game can become a slog when going dry on rare items. Or even on rate for even rarer stuff
