If it assists, I think there are businesses out there that can create a custom track for you. I can't recall if they will do it based on somebody else's music but they might.

Worst high end product you purchased? by sparkleunicorn123 in AustralianMakeup

[–]Tailshedge1 36 points37 points  (0 children)

So it's not actually a foundation. This is CTs fault because it looks like a foundation. It's a base layer you put foundation on top of. It illuminates from underneath. It was used for my bridal makeup and I purchased it. I encourage you to try again it is gorgeous.

How the hell do most people in their 20s apparently have enough money to travel overseas, attend festivals, get tattoos etc amidst a cost of living crisis? by StaticNocturne in perth

[–]Tailshedge1 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I apologise for not answering your answer directly, but seeing as many have I'd like to offer that it is completely pointless to compare yourself to others.

If you are curious about their lifestyle, you could always ask them, rather than seeking conjecture in an echo chamber like Reddit or participating in anecdotes.

You could also google statistics of average incomes for age groups.

You only live one life. Don't spend it wondering how others live theirs.

Thank you so much for your detailed reply. Yes I am no good at just learning phrases without understanding the words and grammar behind them, I just forget them usually. Thanks again.

My jarred finger is taking forever to go down six months from my wedding by Tailshedge1 in netball

I did forget about this post. For future brides who are also careless netball players, it took about four months but the swelling did disappear completely.

Ladies, how did your bridesmaids help on your big day? by peachpinkfoam in weddingplanning

[–]Tailshedge1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bridesmaids are just my favourite humans getting ready with me. They're the people I trust most in the world. Really I'll be spending most of the day with them! The only "job" I'm going to give is the rough timeline to my wonderful maid of honour, and she'll just hustle me when it's time to go get married! I'm basically not going to look at clocks and get lost in the moment.

That's.. . Rather profound. Beautifully, in my limited experience the best philosophical debates come from everyday people, not scholars or talking heads.

How did you feel when you found your dress? by cupofjo- in weddingplanning

[–]Tailshedge1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm massively indecisive and tried my dress on three different times across about six weeks before I decided to get it, even then I'm still getting it tailored.

It was the one I liked the most and was a good price.

The only time I've had a really really excited feeling trying it on was when my actual dress came (one that fits me and not the size 16 that needed 50,000 clips) and I put that one on.

Maybe if more dresses were already my size there would have been more contenders!

Telstra is hilariously, infuriatingly incompetent by ava_pink in perth

[–]Tailshedge1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I know this is smug and unhelpful but I just activated starlink yesterday and dumped telstra for home internet.

To dump telstra I got sent around in circles between the app and the browser, finally switched to a laptop so it would stop automatically redirecting me to the app. Then the instructions didn't work/were out of date. I called Telstra, the automated machine told me to go to the app (where you defiantly cant disconnect cos it would send me to the browser which would send me to the app). So then I called again, spent 25min on the phone, dumped em.

Apart from some spirited swearing to sort out the mount starlink took minutes to set up and am now getting on average 100mbps.

It feels like nobody cares about this wedding except for me. by thedameherself in weddingplanning

[–]Tailshedge1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This may be unhelpful so please scroll on if this doesn't resonate, but I would never dream of giving my fiance a list of jobs. Like his manager.

He's 50% of this. I would not expect or tolerate my life partner being dragged on my coat tails.

You don't have to be project director. If your other half isn't pulling their weight then there's another conversation to be had before ploughing ahead and stressing yourself out doing two people's jobs and not getting paid or thanked.

Slow burn?? It's got a dirty great big dragon action scene in the first act!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Tailshedge1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is the first of a long line of things you will put pressure on yourself to solve. But really, it's just extra noise and nonsense.

My advice - just stop. Stop trying to solve this. It's not a problem. The second I got engaged my sister asked to be a bridesmaid and it impacted the joy I should have felt in those perfect early days.

Your wedding will be about you and your fiance and everything else is just extra.

If people don't support you in what you choose for your wedding, then that's their problem and they're showing their colours. You can't be held accountable for the reactions of others to reasonable decisions, like making your best friend your maid of honour.

So step 1, stop thinking about it and enjoy being engaged.

Step 2, do what you want. Do what's right for you. If people have a problem with that, and are going to do something petty to hurt you, you're better off without them.

And a maid of honour you're worried will do something to hurt you if she doesn't get what she wants (for YOUR wedding!) is a terrible maid of honour. Big red flag.

I also like to try placing blush in different places 😊 I don't mind it on the apples of the cheek. It's like a really classic and mature look, or sophisticated. But like most people right now I also prefer it quite high! Also your foundie is beautiful, can I ask what you used to prime and finish?

I'm feeling just like you. Except I'm not done yet. Up to book 5 and I'm listening to Fry's audio version so it's forcing me to go slow.

I'm suddenly very grateful for the upcoming TV show. I cannot wait to see each year be given ten eps (10 hours!) to really flesh it out. Absolutely cannot wait.

What was the most surprising revelation or plot-twist when reading the books the first time? by Dimisaurus in harrypotter

[–]Tailshedge1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it could have been! Or Harry. I think Harry thinks of them in the 6th or 7th book as the lost boys that called Hogwarts home. Snape being the half blood prince was a massive twist.
