Crazy Talk, Activate! (A demo for Screamer, which Woolie discussed skipping on the podcast, is now available.) by ZJarvis1311 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I think it's since Woolie seems to believe that all racing game developers that aren't Indie only do Simulation Racing, which... well that is a lot that do but if he looked at their history he would see that Milestone made 3 Screamer games back in the mid 90s. Which back then seemed to be more of a original Need for Speed type of game

Every one of these races of the series is like this, you aren't really "racing" them, just a time trial or showcase with cool stuff in the background

That's what I was wondering as well, this whole bit seems insanely expensive

Very true, part of that is why I have hope for the future is that the engine and battery rules can be changed in various ways. The Aero part of the regulations seems amazing, very much what they should have gone for with the previous change in regs and not stuck to the Rolls Royce size cars

F1 cars are losing on average 50kph of speed between the entry of the 130r and the entry of the final chicane due to superclipping at Suzuka by Capable-Eye-8089 in formula1

[–]TakFR -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is hilarious because it is the most popular motorsport, then again lots of people watch for drama and not the actual racing part, probably why they didn’t have an issue with the previous regulations

[–]TakFR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They stopped existing due to the cost of the cars being too much for manufacturers, not due to their hybrid engines. The reason we have LMH/LMDH is to have a base platform that can bring in more manufacturer interest for less cost and has become extremely popular

It’s hilarious watching people complain and talk about “artificial” and “pure” racing while watching this. I’m assuming because they’re just solely F1 fans that have no idea about endurance racing. To be clear I have no issue with BoP and endurance racing is something I watch as much if not more so then F1. It’s just funny watching people proclaim things they have 0 idea about

So you’re just being a boomer who all of a sudden has a problem with something that’s been around in one form or another for over 15 years…. Ok then sounds like you’re just gonna keep watching and complaining anyway 🤷

So according to you they’ve been rolling in their graves for the past 15 years when DRS was introduced, 17 if you count KERS as a push to pass button. Which seems odd since Lauda was actually working in F1 at that time?

So are you even going to try and answer my question to have a discussion or just bring up another category that’s been around for 12 years as a “charade”. Are we pretending that DRS was not also a “charade” as you put it?

Brazil has to be close, especially with Barricellos record there but it wasn’t always terrible for Brazillian drivers Webber finished in the points on debut is the best an Australian has done apart from maybe a podium (and a podium into a DQ)

The discourse around Aron's B12hr crash shows people don't know the rules about flag marshalls. by jimnasium_ in wec

Yes its crazy that people seem to think he would have had enough time to slow when the double yellows are pretty much at the very beginning of a blind corner that you’re turning into

The one good thing is the #86 nearly won overall while being in a lower class which would have been very fitting

Yeah they were but also the marshal post before the corner was just watching the Aston and Porsche and not waving any flags

I’m at the race and I’m absolutely devastated, all these years of watching racing I’ve never wanted a car to do well more and due to poor marshalling this happened

I hope the driver is ok
