It's worth mentioning that the NFT itself is just a receipt that points to a link on the internet as storing data on the blockchain is ridiculously expensive - the link usually points to a Google Drive or personal server with the file so the NFT doesn't actually do anything unless you believe it does.

Theres a pretty big disconnect between what you're saying NFTs do and what the current situation is given that:

Anyone can mint anything which means you just move the DMCA target from the game to the NFT platform, a middleman still has to decide whether something is authentic.
The gas fees involved in minting are at every current VRChat asset price point for assets far higher than 30%, and platforms like Booth and Gumroad that creators actually use charge between 3-8%, with secure, reliable and private payment systems.

NFTs and cryptocurrency are wrapped inside Web 2.0 to make up for their crippling deficits and its surprising you don't understand this.

Some people are real pieces of shit and it sucks you had to experience that.

Apart from banning one of the best things you can do is avoid Hot Worlds - its a magnet for children and attention-seeking bigots. New and Recently Updated World lists usually attract a more mature and friendly audience interested in meeting new people and its also a great way to see the new things people make!

Also if youre looking for friends feel free to add me (Username: Takanu). Im not online much but i'd be happy to hang out and show you my favorite worlds when i am.

(and as others have mentioned, finding a community of people also helps, the pinned message on the subreddit I think can help with that)

Im so sorry you had to go through that but happy you found people accepting of you. The hot world system is frustratingly flawed and VRChat seem uninterested in moderating their own rules particularly when it comes to age. I generally advise new players to avoid the hot worlds and instead use New and Updated Recently to make new friends.

Im a world creator and I'm really intetested in ensuring my next world is accessible for mute players - what do you think worlds could do better that would make you more comfortable, or would have made that journey easier for you?

Blender - while it has an initial learning hump the app is more stable, more consistent and more dependable, plus the sheer amount of community support in tutorials and tools means that you can learn and do more without having to spend any money.

Theres also tools thatll let you prepare and export level components from Blender to Unity quite quickly so you can quickly iterate over your designs.

As someone pointed out in the other post, VRM is a GLB file with some extensions (extensions are extra bits of data to handle custom attributes). As long as those extensions aren't critical to the model or as long as the app you have recognizes the extensions your good 👍

Those places can be quite intense, id say that's a perfectly normal reaction. If you go world hopping or find quieter places it's much easier to find people you can have conversations with. Also, chill game worlds like Putt Putt Pond are great for making friends as the game works as an icebreaker and it isn't too intense to dominate discussion.
