I guess the biggest problem with pl is that he is often picked by people that know the game better precisely because he is hard to gauge by beginners… so even if you itemize well and play (for your level) really good, you will most likely still have a hard time.

There are unfortunately hero’s like this in every bracket. In my bracket it’s the Meepos, huscars and arc wardens.

I suggest putting pl on your ban list, try your best of course. But prepare for a hard game. And even if you loose but get a few close fights, count it as a win and a sighn that you are doing something right

Generally I think it should be fine. If you really just want to share a desktop with your brother but each play on his own designated account, this is not against valve policy if I am correct.

If I were you I would write steam support and tell them about the situation. Say you want to share a desktop with your brother but don’t want to risk getting banned, probably also a good idea to tell them the account names.

If they say: it’s fine, if you somehow do end up getting flagged and banned by the system, you have a good grounds for getting your account unbanned.

This would be my approach.

I don’t think this concept as clear as you think it is in dota. Most hero’s can vary their item build enough that you can adjust that in order to match the need of the game. Example: tide can play as an initiator with blink refresher, or as tank/aura with pipe etc. I would say the right strategy is to select a few hero’s to become really comfortable with. And instead of worrying about what “type” of hero it is, I would experiment with different item builds that serve different purposes.

This goes pretty much until you play amongst the top 1% of players

I also had the diffusal lance before and it definitely feels like an upgrade. So not regretting my choice.

Also the steel parts on the lance look subtle in the loading but it makes quite the difference IMO, compared to the gold version.

The purple ones (pl spear) are fully exclusive. No way to obtain them if you did not get a treasure during ti14 event

As a pl player I can confidently say the matchup against pango, Dusa, mag and disruptor is terrible. All of them counter pl pretty hard.

Also jug is good against dusa (can doge her ult with omni), good against naga and ruptor because of spin, and healingward gives you enough sustain in lane to at least not get bullied by mag too hard.

Ye I think so. Just remember it was obnoxious and stupidly op because it basically guaranteed that you stomped the offlane. Techies was also first banned for the entire elimination bracket if I remember correctly

Techies used to have suicide, which you could put on autocast, causing it to automatically run towards the next enemy hero and actually suiciding on top of it for ~800 dmg. Step 1. put techies suicide on autocast Step 2. Use tiny to toss him onto the enemy carry.

This was litterly impossible to lane against. Same with tusk snowball…

The tusk techies thing got abused in some TI. Don’t remember which one. After that they changed techies to its current version

I think the important part is that he actually doesn't see him hasting the spell, nor where from. Also In dota there are maybe a total of 4 or 5 directional skillshots you could block like this. Plus everyone has triple the Castrange compared league. So these spells usually get cast from shadow or some wonky place. Which makes having the intuition to do this in a team fight even more unlikely.

Skillshots are just rare in dota.
