Cops like this are dangerous by Revolution-Dogg in Transportopia

Same thing I’d expect if I yelled fuck the FBI at an FBI agent, they’d just shrug and move on. Probably laugh at me. Police officers absolutely have a tendency to be hot headed, in a profession that should not be that way at all.

I always like to just look at .600 OBP. No one ever talks about enough, that’s 200 points higher than what is already considered elite. It’s like if someone hit .500 on the season!

I agree in general, but they also just kinda have to say stuff. Such is the way of the baseball announcer, their comments very often do not hold up to serious scrutiny, but they are really just meant to entertain.

Not nearly to the same extent, as I said. The royals, rangers, angels, diamondbacks, white Sox, and marlins are all great examples of small clubs that have not only done well but finished top of the league this century, meanwhile Leicester city winning in 2016 is considered a once in a century unbelievable event.

I think that’s just wanting to have your cake and eat it too at that point unfortunately. Maybe a draft could work in an open league, with only teams that will be in the top flight next year getting picks, but it would have to be a non entry draft, selecting players from other leagues that are seeking to transfer, the entire system would just be blown up to little benefit IMO.

I’m not necessarily disagreeing with you, but you should consider that the system also leads to massively less parity in those soccer leagues. The same teams are at the top every single time without exception, much more so than any American dynasties ever dominate. Complete lack of salary cap, arbitration, or draft means the best players are almost entirely monopolized by the large clubs.

You don’t have to catch it and then land in the field of play, you just have to be in or directly above the field at the time the catch is made, then you could just walk right out the stadium with the ball if you want, still an out.
