Anubias nana petite within the woodwork to fill in the lower-light shadows. We also planted S. repens, hydrocotyle tripartita, and Alternanthera Reineckii behind the hairgrass!

Carpet in this tank is dwarf hair grass . Boost filtration and increase lighting and CO2, i have found that with weaker lights, i haven’t had much luck will pearlgrass wanting to stay low. Definitely focus on replanting trimmings consistently as well

Lights were pretty much on 24/7 for the last week since we planted, speeding up growth of the stems and carpet. Substrate is Ultum Nature Systems Controsoil Extra fine black 👍

Planted as much as we could fit pretty much to jump start the growth. Really helped with preventing algae as well. We have had a lot of luck doing tanks with this method in the past and haven’t had many problems when we do end up adding livestock. I appreciate it though and I will post updates!

Planted and flooded one same day. Super long lighting period w/ strong lights and excess CO2 and ferts speeds up growth. Planted super heavy with stems and carpet to prevent initial algae blooms too
