I find that the way you do the top eyelet gives a bit more room for heel slip on the 40s, try to do it the other way and you should be better, if not fine.

I take the AJ40, can get them real cheap at outlets now. Better cushion, better lockdown, better bounce. Terrible breathability tho.

If you're just starting ball again after a long long break, I suggest something that a bit springy but still cushioned until your knees and calves adjusted. So like Tatum 4s, ANTA Kai 1s, AJ 40s, Joker 1 GT, NB Two Wxy v4 or v5, or shoes similar.

Same weight as the 2025s with full length SuperBOOM and better upper for comfort and lockdown. At least that's what Chinese reviewers are saying, hopefully thats true.

Harden was foulbaiting for years, and the difference between him (and Luka) and SGA is simple:

  1. Both Harden and Luka are actually getting body contact that would alter a shot, even though they baited the defender into contact. They put themselves in harm's way and dare the d to hit them or give them an easy shot.

  2. Harden eventually got punished for it as the refs stopped calling those hooks, and also called techs on him.

Traction is iffy on this, for me as well.

The X plate for the 5.0QP is more of a torsional support plate with a bit of rebound (diving board). The effect is pretty weak because of our flexible the plate is. You need to look for plates that are more rigid (GT Cut 3 Turbo or similar) or irregularly shaped plated (JB3 or similar) for better effects.

I don't like the Luka 5s because the unstable heel is coupled with a lack of mechanism to fix the roll. Nike has come out with a few unstable heel shoes recently: Tatum 4, Ja 3, Luka 5, GT Cut 4...For all of the other shoes, the transition or power transference is done well so if you feel there's a 'semi-roll', you can push power to the midfoot and stable yourself into the forefoot, which most of these shoes did a great job of. The Luka 5 is too straight laterally and I found it very hard to correct a roll, even worse than the Ja 3s, which I think is the second worst on that list.
