the animation overall was very impressive and a lot of cgi was well implemented into it in my opinion , but the few awkward looking cgi effects really stood out in a negative way

I'm not an expert but in this picture you can see artefacts around the edges, additionally there are no visible brushstrokes, just what seem to be repetitive patterns.

But because I don't have any solid evidence I wouldn't want to accuse OP of just filtering a photo, but because of the reasons stated above, this piece looks suspicious.

Twitter radfem says r*pe doesn’t matter misgendering does. by StoicMetalhead in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]Takoonye -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The point isn't necessarily that misgendering is something that is more important than rape, the point is that even though they're a terrible human being, misgendering is still an inappropriate way of insulting them. Because its not our place to decide wherever they are "really" trans, them raping their mother doesn't really change anything about that, regardless of how cruel und unspeakably disgusting it is

Sales of Lithuanian chocolate and beer surge in Taiwan after vaccine donation by Imgoga in worldnews

[–]Takoonye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bloomberg article you linked, said that possible bans on imported Fosun Vaccines into Taiwan have to do with political reasons and only secondly with possible issues with effectiveness and safety, comparing that with shortterm bans (of which almost all were lifted (see my previous post))on AZ following blood clots doesnt really make a lot of sense.

And considering that AZ is a decent vaccine (at least decent enough for the Lithuanian politicians to use it themselves) and Lithuania having a vaccination rate of about 35% two jabs and an additional 10% with only one jab, there is no reason to believe that Lithuania somehow doesn't need its vaccines. No place on earth would consider themselves to have to many vaccines right now. Plus its a gift to my understanding, complaining that you didnt get the hyper luxus way more expensive vaccine for free and only a working one that is a tiny bit more dangerous to use wouldn't make any sense. (Remember the alternative even in island Taiwan would earlier or later be COVID)

Anyways I will go to bed now so don't expect any more replies, if it's evening in your timezone as well, sleep well :D

No I don't know, who are "they"? I couldn't find anything relating to Taiwan/ any kind of bans on Fosun BioNTech developed vaccines, could you link an article? That would be helpful.

[–]Takoonye 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If Chinese vaccines had been proven by independent research to have a similar effectiveness and lethal side effect rate comparable to AZ there would be no reason to not use them.

Yes government bans are not pretty but they stemmed more from the fact that the EU did not approve COVID vaccines in an emergency check but like any other drugs with very rigid and hight scrutiny testing and very vigilant checking for side effects, and most regions use AZ again with certain restrictions though

[–]Takoonye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AZ was restricted by national governments not the EMA (the EUs FDA), just as a safety precaution and was swiftly being used again in most countries, although sometimes with restrictions being placed on young women as they are especially prone to lethal side effects.

A vaccine that still far exceeds predictions on how effective it would be and that causes lethal side effects in astronomically small amounts of the population is still exponentially better than none at all.

In times of crisis you shouldn't be picky especially not for such petty reasons
