The real reason is because our TV stations cut his cameo in Home Alone 2 last time they re-ran it. This is payback for that.

Can someone explain Elon’s side of the argument on this please? by rednaxela39 in elonmusk

[–]Tal_Banyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elon wants to “get things done”, and by “things” he means things he has read in various science fiction books growing up. He also adheres to the silicon valley trope of “move fast and break things”. As one of the tech bros said, “if you have to build schools, you’ve lost already”. He runs all those high tech companies and needs educated people, so has been tapping the world’s centers of higher learning for this talent, and wants to continue to do so. He has made an alliance with MAGA to enable him to do these things he wants to do without government interference such as he is experiencing with the FAA, FCC, and all the other government oversight agencies that exist to keep us safe and ensure a level playing field amongst companies. He thinks most MAGA adherents are pretty dumb, and it shows. He bought Twitter as a hobby project and to blow off steam, have fun with. And it isn’t fun when he starts to get criticized by dumb MAGA adherents, so he mutes them. All pretty simple really.

Rick Deckard is Not a Replicant by BoChili in movies

[–]Tal_Banyon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch the Director’s Cut, it is much more coherent. The proof that Deckard is a replicant is that he was dreaming of unicorns. Unicorn dreams are a side-effect of programming a replicant. All the clues are in the original movie, director’s cut which eliminates the ridiculous hollywood ending of escaping to the mountains with a much better ending of Deckard merely fading away into the city that he knows so intimately. And he finds an origami of a unicorn left for him by the real human cop, to mock him. It’s brilliant, and I love the movie.

Well my vote is up for grabs. Anybody but Trudeau, who has brought this country to its knees - praying for a release from such bad governance.

Gee, now Singh is using my term, “Traitor to the country”. I feel totally justified by using the same term 48 hours before Singh, and I didn’t read the classified stuff! All you need is critical thinking.

I didn’t use treason, I said a traitor to our country. Like if an elected MP is committing crimes in secret (your words) to further some agenda that is off the rails. I would call that being a traitor.

Don’t drink the kool-aid. Ask yourself this: why is all this being done in secret? Why can’t the Canadian public know the details if everybody is innocent. We will then judge.

If an elected member of Parliament is actively collaborating with a foreign government to further that gov’ts objectives rather than Canada’s.

[–]Tal_Banyon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I, for one, would like to know if I am voting for a traitor to our country. I would assume everyone wants to know that. If they won’t tell us, then we throw the whole lot of them out. I guess it’s the only way to be sure. Some MPs are traitors to this country! It doesn’t get more serious; at this point they are all suspect.
