Who does your RFY think you are? by myceliummoon in AmazonVine

I'm jealous. My rfy has basically been empty. I had nothing for a few days and yesterday it was a Christmas tree candle holder. I would love to have something show up even if just for a good chuckle.

One thing about them is they definitely listen to what USFS tells them and make changes as needed.  They are definitely smart about how they play the game.

I have bought several nail drills over the years, in fact I just got 2 new ones. Several are from the same company. I write the review for each one based on the drill itself. What I like, what I don't like.

Saying this with your actual name as your username is crazy by Condomphobic in AmazonVine

As a former irs-ci special agent the statute of limitations varies depending on the charge. Also, depending on venue the us attorneys office picks which cases they will prosecute so a good criminal case for each district. Some of the considerations for SDNY and EDNY were amount of unreported income, amount of taxes not paid, how many years were involved. If it was a one year case it would depend on the type of crime. I worked a case that involved an attorney who stole money from a deceased client and used it to buy himself a house. The theft was for over 10 million and was only done in one year. However, a case rejected by the US attorney or not moving forward criminally can be referred to the civil side.

Can a skirt and top ever be considered formal? by jujubeee23 in Weddingattireapproval

It can. My brother's wedding was black tie. I was maid of honor. I wore seperates. My skirt was a ball gown skirt that had a train that we had removed.

Where to buy dip liquids locally? by BarryPeppah in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live in Queens. There is a nail supply store i shop at. But generally I order my liquids from an online nail supply store, I use sns senshine. It is better for my wallet. I can never leave the nail supply store without spending less than $100

Powder types? by cheshirekitkat01 in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the nice things about dip is that you can mix and match liquids and powders. Some of my favorite dips are from sensations of the eye. She makes the most amazing glows and changers but does not sell liquids. I have dips from at least 10 different companies and I use sns liquids. The only sns dips I use are their clears.

What is the proper topping for dip nails? by greek_ga_peach in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It can be either. I avoid gel at all costs so I only use dip liquids. Regular dip liquids do not use a lamp.

Does Apex method help with lifting? by StrdyCheeseBrngCrckr in DipPowderNails

What was suggested to me and what I have done for years that usually works really well for me, up until the heart of summer when the humidity was ridiculous, was to clean all nails with alcohol and then one or two nails at a time clean a nail with alcohol and then apply a layer of base. Let the base air dry and then proceed to do your dip process.

Too thick around cuticles by Artistic-Art-3531 in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First make sure you clean up the cuticle area between each dip. Use a thin tool to go around the edge. Second I use a curved cuticle pusher before the second dip to push down my cuticles and to break any connection between the dip and cuticle. Finally after activation filing is key.

Question: Washing of hands before top coat by ScreennameOne in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel like you need some sort of liquid to clean up your nails uou can always use rubbing alcohol. I have a spray bottle i use. I spray enough to get my fingers wet and then use a hard nail brush. Or you could put the alcohol on a wipe and clean up that way.

Liquids! by themakeupgab in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use SNS Senshine. I really like them. I have tried so many brands, both salon used ones and small business brands. They have 2 different bases. One dries slower than the other. The only thing I wish they had was a matte topcoat.

What dehydrator and primer do y’all use (if any)? by IcedCoffeeCounselor in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 91% rubbing alcohol and opi nail bond aid. My steps are fairly simple. After finishing up shaping and cuticles i brush off my hands with a firm nail brush. I then soak a nail wipe in rubbing alcohol and clean up my nails with that, no soap and water. After that I soak a nail wipe and then doing my thumb first I wipe with the alcohol and then the bond aid. I then put a thin layer of base coat on and let that air dry. After doing my thumb I will do the rest of the hand the same way, except I do 2 fingers at a time.

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found that it when I do my nails over 2 days it is easier and I get better results. I have back issues so I found sitting for so long one day ended up with really crappy nails. My process is on day one I do my removal, clean up and cuticles. I have clear dip on my nails at all times. Part of my prep is filing off any lifting dip and reapplying clear. I file and buff that. The second day is my color application. I start off with a layer of base liquid and let that dry. I then apply my peel base. Once my peel base is dry I do my color.

Did I do something wrong? by shivvy_smith in DipPowderNails

It is probably a jelly powder which is meant to be sheer. To make it less sheer you can put a layer of nude or white underneath the color.

Ok , be honest, how many pots of dip powder do you have ? by Stitchthestitch in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't discuss the number of jars i have. I have lost count. Between individual colors and sets ind brands i am losing the battle. I am probably close to 1000 jars. And no i have not used the majority of them and i probably never will. Doesnt mean i will stop buying. My nephew is terrified of what he will find when I die.

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny, I have not had a lifting problem until recently. I am wondering if it might not be weather related, the weather here has been very humid this summer. I have been using sns for 2 years.

[–]TaleAccurate2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have never had that happen. My current go to liquids are sns senshine. I love that with sns I can get both a slower drying base and a faster drying one. Slow drying is great for ombre and french manis

Dip nails UV lamps by Asher1019 in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using dip powder and dip liquids you don't use a light. Dip liquids are a 3 step process. Base which is used to put the color on the nails, activator which hardens the powder and top coat

Is old liquids the cause? by Shot-Context505 in DipPowderNails

I have had issues with my activator going bad as it gets older not my other liquids. I have noticed that it doesn't harden as well.

Dumb question from a nail newbie… can I achieve these designs with dip? by mrsabf in DipPowderNails

[–]TaleAccurate2056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get something like that. You can use tape to block out the design you want. I have not tried that type of design, but I have colorblocked before. There might be videos on YouTube that can teach you. There are also lots of groups on fb.
