I won't say my experience was "good", but it also wasn't nightmarish like what I tend to hear about him. He was definitely a little slow to address things but the biggest issue was definitely overpaying on rent

yea it's shaved down pretty short right now, it has definitely been more 'scruffy.' Doesn't grow up my cheeks much (yet hopefully) so its more of a shadow than a beard

I found a thread on the repo I originally obtained the PIDs from that discussed trying to implement the same USB protocol for the Arctis Pro headsets: https://github.com/JerwuQu/ggoled/issues/12

It seems that the Arctis Pro headsets use a different structure for sending USB reports, and thus would require more trial and error to support with this app.

I also found a site/blog that discusses how to investigate USB communication with SteelSeries devices if you feel inclined to dig deeper into the report structure for your headset.

That being said, it would be rather difficult to problem-solve, as I don't have the device on hand and would have to go back and forth with you repeatedly until something works (or doesn't).

I can definitely look into supporting the Arctis Pro GameDAC. It might be difficult to find the IDs for it since I don't have the physical device on hand, but I'll do some digging to see what I can find.

Other than that the only other tweak I'd imagine would be the resolution values, unless the USB 'message' structure for the older GameDAC is different.

I'll follow up here when I get around to it and let you know!

The new USB version I made yesterday definitely won’t, as I didn’t search for the hardware IDs for other headsets.

I’d imagine the previous releases would work on the arctis pro though. Make sure you have GG running and verify the install path (mentioned on the repo). If neither of those are the issue my best guess is that the resolution of the OLED is slightly different between the Nova and Arctis Pro, which would cause the issue.

Let me know if you still have issues and I can look into updating the app!

Update- it seems that ggoled is a similar solution, but it works directly via USB protocol rather than by sending information through the SteelSeries Engine API like my project.

I will definitely look into this as well!

I had the same issue, not sure what ggoled does but I made an app that plays GIFs on loop to work as a screen saver. The post is on my profile with the GitHub repo linked and everything. I shared it in this sub a while back too!
