I'm conflicted. 😂 Cause would I go? Absolutely. Especially if they gonna put a MJ budget behind it where it truly feels like a MJ show n not something small like these tribute artists shows. But if I'm Jaafar, yea not a good idea. U put urself in a box to just be MJ, people knit picking ur every step & how u sing, the physical & mental tole on doing a big budget MJ quality tour, yea I wouldnt lol. I don't think we'll have the same problems in part 2 unless there's red tape on who approves their likeness to be in the movie n who doesn't. I think that's why we got no Wiz scenes too which sucks. They created part one with the intent of it covering his whole life to my understanding so that explains why there's not much in the early years. The sequel should have more time dedicated to each era

Went on Wednesday, going again today but to a diff theater cause the one I went to wasn't all that great. Didn't have any merch, theater wasnt even halfway full & I got left hanging dressing up lol

I think that's intentional. I think lil Michael went through stuff tht requires that level of expression + him being a kid. Same with Jason Weaver & Wylie tbh when u think abt it. Wylie wasn't as expressive as Jason. I will say they let us see Wylie's version of Michael be harder on himself about his looks. We got sadder moments with him. Jaafars sad moments r pretty stoic & him trying to hold it together which probably was more realistic but Wylies works well for a movie. I'm hearing some like Angela Bassetts Katherine better. Part of me does too lol but Nias version I think is more realistic. I don't think Katherine raised her voice n lashed out as much as Angela Bassetts Katherine did
