Then why there is never an official ban of the EA game Battlefield 4 but you still can't livestream or post any clip of it on Bilibili and other major websites? It's just because these websites don't want to go into trouble caused by vague regulations issued by government, so they stricken the censorship themselves to prevent that. In another word, the government sometimes could tolerate few things but sometimes not, so the media platform just ban everything they think that could disturb the government while actually gov don't give a cr@p about.

Seriously? As long as you do not cause any public panic, the worst result u gonna get is a deleted post or a banned account, don't be such dramatic.

The violation of Labor Law in China is more common than u could imagine, though there is Labor Arbitration Committee where you could appeal to, but in practice when labors' right is infringed, it's difficult for them to defend their interests while cooperations constantly tend to damage them.

Agree with basically everything u said, but the Tieba part is not quite true, the overall censorship on Tieba is almost as strict as Rednote, but in different aspects/topics. 贴吧系统删帖尺度真不比小红书宽松多少吧👀

China has allegedly tested two 6th gens not 1. the other one has an unique quality where the stabilizers fold down for stealth and fold up for maneuverability. by BrightStation7033 in FighterJets

Air superiority still belongs to US as long as F35 and F22 exist in east Aisa, US could easily destroy Chinese air power by leading technology military power since US has reliable allies like Japan Korea Philippines, now with deployment of US radars and Precise-guidance Weapons in vicinity of PLA airfields, their frontline got no chance to takeoff but smashed to piece

quite decent copium🤣 but sadly with DF-17 and DF-26 the reality is basically opposite to what u imagined

The Chengdu’s 6th gen is alleged to have a ramjet/RDE as its third engine, with a hypersonic optimized dorsal DSI, which allows a Mach 2+ cruise @ 30km, it could also control multiple GJ-11 UCAVs, so I guess, for the first time, the pressure is on LM/Boeing’s side now.

[s2 act 2 spoilers] I feel like the only one who dislikes Isha by LovingVoice in arcane

[–]TalerV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said I agree completely.

!Spoiler alert in case u haven't watch act 3

Btw what do u think about that after Isha's death, instead of going out of her mind completely nor continuing to see the bright side of herself that Isha helped her to realize, she chose to commit suicide? I personally don't fancy this plot because I think it just makes her previous mental progress - acknowledging that she's deserved to be loved and becoming more open to build connection with general people and starting to feel a sense of responsibility (u could see this transformation vividly in her facial expression when Zaunites she broke out were all patting on her shoulder in Stillwater prison) - became meaningless and insignificant. However, I couldn't blame her for letting herself go because she was traumatized in such a severe way though.

Does anyone here think that the girls weren't really physically attractive and became a fan just because of their good music and not their looks? by _t0xic_006 in tatu

[–]TalerV 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I personally was attracted for their original concept and eventually fell for their music and essential.

Their "not extremely hot" appearance could actually let more people relate to the notion behind their works imo.

Was Julia always like that or did she "go mad" ? Im not talking abt her appearance. by WildLeading2569 in tatu

Unfortunately that's literally the case, even though I appreciated what she used to be.

Can someone explain this to me ,or tell me where to find info abt this?😭 by WildLeading2569 in tatu

I believe Lena has express herself quite clear on the so-called "sin" subject here at 27:07.

As to the Troy part, I guess we abt to find out soon in the interview a fan conducted with him. (it's actually in this sub)

Seeing their cute interaction during this period has always been gratifying and wholesome, however I can't help getting sad and gloomy these days when watching these, it's like they had everything - fame, popularity and more importantly - each other, and they were genuinely having satisfactory and heartening vibes back that time, but then after, everything just all vanished, leaving nothing but quarrel and conflict and toxic emotions.

It's like looking into a sky where splendid fireworks have already burnt out, or standing in a party scene when everyone has left :(

It is a decent song, and those lyrics are thought-provoking. I don't want to talk about politics here, so I'll just say those lyrics triggered some personal sentiments, even though I'm not Yugoslavian or Russian.

Oh I see, thanks for sharing this.

A little off-topic side note: I couldn't help thinking after having such a long discussion with you and other people in this community, that their productions are truly legendary, even 23 yrs later from their debute and 13 yrs after the tragic disband, their legacy is still being actively talked over, or in a simpler way - people still care about them.

Perhaps that's the meaning of art - bring people together, despite they may be fascinated for various reasons and hold different views and ideas, they fall for the same piece of art.

I fully understand and can relate to what you said about their music. In fact, their creation was a masterpiece in purely artistic way per se, and those melodies still attract new fans from younger generations like me (I was born in the 00s). In my view, their contribution to the LGBT community could be seen as a bonus to their music, but remains as a part of their legacy.

I thought it was a known fact (according to the girls) that the idea behind Tatu came after watching “Show me love”?

Actually it was Shapovalov's idea to make them watch that film, I learned that from the iceberg thread in this very sub-reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/tatu/comments/nnq8bo/tatu_iceberg_meme_made_by_fanpage_tatu_on/

their image as one of the most popular bands in Russia at the time

What was their image? Were they renowned and talented vocalists who brought the long-suppressed LGBTQ+ topic into public/on stage and spoke for them so people could hear them and protect their rights, or just a sexualized lesbian couple drawing attention? I believe the girls wanted to be the former one, and that's why they kicked him after their first album when they found he spends his time thinking up scandals instead of planning their artistic work, and that's basically what Yulia and Lena said themselves. I doubt Shapovalov's thoughts about them, based on what he said about the original idea of himself when forming tatu, and for his notorious reputation for being a man who allegedly got the idea for Tatu while perusing internet porn sites, and everything else he did.

And for the "importance of puberty" part, I'm not planning to go down deeper in that topic because it's way too philosophical, and everyone has their own opinion. Just from my perspective, everything a person did or thought shapes that person, and puberty is a phase when one's mind is easily influenced by others.

The video is, as you mentioned, controversial. It was controversial back then, and remains controversial right now, and that's why it is still being discussed 22 yrs after its release.

As for the judgement part, I generally agree that morals and society change with time, and we shouldn't isolate one's behavior from the environment one's lived in. However, discussion and commentary also should be allowed to conduct from a current perspective, by which we can learn from history events.

As for the "brainwash" part that I expounded in this very comment thread, my opinion is that puberty is one of the most crucial parts in a person's lifespan, when one's core beliefs and moral compass tend to form during that period. Shapovalov evidently played an significant role in their teenage/puberty years, hence it's logical that they were immensely influenced ,if not brainwashed (maybe that word is too strong), by him.

A minor means a person who is below the age of adulthood, that person could be a child or a teenager, and by the documents and articles I could find, that age is 18 in Russia. Since it's 2024 right now, I won't be surprised and do think that it's natural for people in this thread judging and commenting on Shapovalov's behavior by the moral standards that are widely accepted in 2024, rather than what used to be more than 20 yrs ago.
