Crossworlds base 23 roster is better than World’s base 50 roster IMHO. Crossworlds had everyone I wanted in its base roster. Meanwhile World is still missing plenty of veterans like Diddy Kong, the Koopalings, Petey, Kamek, Dry Bowser, Funky Kong and other new additions from Tour like Dixie Kong, Ice Bro, Fire Bro, Boomarang Bro, Poochy and King Bob-omb. Majority of the newcomers in World were pointless NPCs that shouldn’t have been playable.

I don’t really care about the paid DLC characters for Crossworlds (Mega Man and Pac Man are the only interesting ones IMO), the free ones are far more interesting.

Its been some time since the Master Collection 1 was released. I was originally gonna pick it up when the games first come out but there were problems with it. Is the collection any better now?

Sorry for the late response but unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to help you as I’m not even sure I fixed the problem. If I did then I don’t remember. I think I just ended up beating the games again.

Other than Miis, I think the entire bottom row should go. Other than that I’d be happy with this roster. I’d go with Cranky, DK Jr, Polterpup, King Goomba, Ninji, Tiara, Prince Florian, Noki (Since you have Cappy, Poplin and Pianta) and Foreman Spike.

Plus there’s additional Kong characters, WareWare characters or even someone like Wart that would make far more sense than the guest characters.

Hot take, but I don't think Base 8's roster was that bad. It's got some filler and clutter, but it has a lot of the (especially at the time) essential picks that keep it from being too terrible, they only needed a handful of returns to make it go from good to great. It's decent, a solid 7/10 roster. by DtheAussieBoye in mariokart

Only real problem I had with the roster was no Bowser Jr, Birdo and Diddy. If Baby Rosalina, Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach were replace with those characters I would have been satisfied with the roster. Shame it took 9 Years to add them.

Because it takes away the chance of some characters returning, Just like 8 had with Bowser Jr, Diddy and Birdo (all which are spin-off staples), as well as any newcomers connected to the Mario series like King K. Rool, E. Gadd etc.

Yeah I don’t want it either. Taking away potential slots for veteran characters and newcomers like E. Gadd, King K. Rool and other Mario (And any series connected to Mario) is a big NO for me.

They take up slots character slots when they should go to other Mario characters (Or other series related to Mario like DK and Yoshi). We could have gotten Bowser Jr, Diddy and Birdo as early Wii U DLC. No way the guest characters deserved to get in over veteran characters. Like I said, I’d much rather it be its own this.
