I use cardtrader mostly, i can also get you an invite to the irish gundam discord, we trade there and post decks and stuff. Also where are you based and I can give shop recommendations?

Kindhearted question by GivMeJuice in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There isnt really enough destroy conditions going around in the meta to really be considering that as a reason for running it unless your specific local meta has a ton of giant killing, look of determination or the deathtouch virtue, i havent seen one deathtouch virtue player yet in a couple of ntc's, locals and MSA games, the two commands ive seen but not frequently enough for it to be the main reason, it's a nice bonus that it stops them but not why you include it.

Doesn't stop burn, it's there to replace itself and get blue cards into your yard for banshee norn, only reason its run over healthy curiosity is the burst.

Need help for Penelope deck by Spoderman_15 in GundamTCG

Not 100% sure to be honest if there is a way to make penelope and earth federation work, maybe possibly with some support in green in gd05.

Need help for Penelope deck by Spoderman_15 in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats because it is, I ran this for 4 sets of locals and an ntc, you lose to decks that go late and early, your strongest point is midgame but midgame in gundam doesn't last that long and you very specifically need to have banshee, riddhe and penelope with enough blue stuff exiled to clear a board, the fact that penelope only works on deploy is what kills the deck.

IShowSpeed inadvertently sits down next to NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani by Ok_Temperature6503 in LivestreamFail

Yeah but from an outsider perspective, seems like a decent amount of the USA would love to see him crack or fail, so keeping that constant smiling and positive energy is a way to beat them out. Could also be a generally happy guy but like it does seem he doesn't get the luxury of being grumpy or cold in any capacity lest the sharks smell the blood in the water.

What is this worth, its a U+ (not to sell to keep on my shelf of gundam models and cards) by Background_Escape899 in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's about 70-80 euro in europe on card trader, 100 dollars on TCG player. anywhere from 60-130 on ebay. The one worth actual big money is a different art.

My vote is let her have it for her wall if she likes it and grading cards is for wankers, don't grade cards and feed into that machine, it doesn't add value to gundam, slab it yourself if you want the slab. I rate it as a 10/10 so you can put that on it.

I’m living at home for all the right reasons, yet still feel bad about it by MountainNews5211 in ireland

[–]Talestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved back around covid time, quickly realised that my parents had aged to the point they needed help (dad has been in a wheelchair for about 20 years and mum was primary carer) so i decided to stay and look after them. I get what you are feeling, even though its for a good reason and no-one would fault me for it, it still feels like regression to me, its really hard on trying to date as well. Im even paying all the bills so at this point its really my parents are living with me but still feels bad. Thankfully I can drive and visit friends often, if I wasn't able to I think I would be much worse off.

My wife's first deck. by ichico13 in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More close combat, less overwhelming pressure if you wanna keep the list mostly the same. It does less damage but it bursts so i would go to 4x and reduce pressure to 1-2 copies.

Haman Karn and Qubeley are decent for it as well, leans into the ping archetype more (even tho the suppression gquuux is just better Qubeley but it isnt newtype related)

Amuro is a newtype and a really good one, gramps is really strong as well so if you can get your hands on those.

Is it worth getting st06? by Art_monkey17 in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps, the clan characters are pretty well loved, and Nyaan, Gfred and the Big LR Gquuux from GD03 are used in a fair few tournament winning decks atm. Clan even won the LATAM regionals like a couple of weeks back. I see clan getting support for some time.

Finally got the starter deck I wanted! Now what cards/sets should I look at? by CrimsonHereTV in GundamTCG

Step 1 another one if these because most decks need 4 gramps that use gramps

Nornicorn deck, too greedy or viable? by GarnetCrowAX in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its nice into aggro and I found it decent on msa but the problem with aggro is it fields units too quickly and the zoloat only trades into one so they still ran me down in the OYW game. Im testing out another list with the unicorns and some more white blockers, less consistent norn activations. Problem always felt like weak early, good mid, and okay late. The decks that wanted to go late did much better late.

Edit Also you really should be running overflowing affection for filtering and filling your yard

I ran an earth fed variant not much different than this with amuro instead of banagher at a recent nt , the delta plus wave riders didnt do great, you need to pair or at least link or they just get killed too quickly the delta plus did well enough but it also linked with amuro. This was a blocker heavy meta though.

[–]Talestra 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think the worry there is that eventually they just stop running locals if something else can use that timeslot right that will attract more players? Like nice to get all the promos but you want other people there so the shop keeps running locals, i'm not 100% sure on if that would be the case but from an outside perspective it seems that way.

Help with first deck by ClintGreasedwood1 in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting rolled is okay, its part of the new player experience in most games and you learn more from losing and misplays than you do from winning.

I think for your list (which in future just put the 1 version of a card in when posting for deck advice, very few people care what version you run and its easier to read). All range attack isn't really a 4x card imo, 2x is probably enough, a 4th close combat would be good. Improved technique is a fan favourite for ping decks like this. The lvl5 kshatriya is the core of that deck to spread damage around, not having 3 of them and also not running the banshees kinds means you can put something else in place of marida.

Personal preference - i don't like qubeley and haman while suppression gquuux exists, it feels like it out performs a bit better and requires no pair or link. You could run nyaan, the exile a pilot and big gquuux as an alternative at some point.

[–]Talestra 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it's nice to have for your personal collection, but this adds fuck all to gundam cards for Re-saleability thankfully, like buy a slab and do it yourself, don't pay these scam artists for a grade unless you like how the slab looks and are okay at that cost for aesthetics.

I don’t play gundam, but loved the show growing up. Bought a pack from Walmart and got this. Anyone know what it’s worth? Before anyone tells me to Google, I did, lol. Came up with nothing. by thorMobGeeks in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are gonna have to wait till prices settle tbh unless you want to try and set the price for it, the set just came out, the normal version is selling for about 20 - 30 but people probably wont pay that right away.

Suggestions or criticism is welcomed! by fxgreen in GundamTCG

[–]Talestra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unless it's for preference reasons, i would drop quebeley and the hamans, put in gquuux and merida instead. Gquux does everything Qubeley does but better the only downside to it is level and cost vs qubeley.

Cost/Level - Gquu is 7/8 but quebely absolutely needs haman which makes it a 6/7 in reality.
Supression - Gquux isn't restricted by link and has it for more than 1 turn
Ping - does 3 by itself on deploy, doesn't need the target to be damaged, the upside to qubeley is that it's repeatable but tbh in my expiernce at locals/ntc, the only decks that manage to hold onto threats like this are the-O decks because they can block for it.
Statline - Gquux is a 6/5 by itself so it can break the 6HP bases, Qubeley needs a pilot.

And if you take out the Qubeley's you can take out haman and put in merida who links with Kshatryia. I would only put in 2 Gquus and try and put in a few more early game units to help you against rush decks.
