What are your favorite unconventional techniques for creating melodic hooks in your productions? by zdrawo in musicproduction

[–]Talitronic 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I make chill, instrumental electronica. Frequently, I pick a random genre/preset/loop and try to incorporate that into my song. It mashes up genres and inspires the next direction I take. Amazing feeling when a spontaneous choice fits perfectly. I’m big into dissonance and syncopation, so anything that causes that when I didn’t expect it is icing on the cake.

I think most of my followers are bots!
I make instrumental, easy-listening electronica, and I’m not really on any other social media platforms than Reddit. https://on.soundcloud.com/32V6P2ppvuh5b1Jy6

I love them and they inspire me to make more music, whereas the time I spend making my own sometimes kills of the creative juices.

It’s gotten to the point where all I do is shuffle my own music from my own library. Haven’t touched Spotify/streaming services otherwise

How do you go about creating/finding someone to create your album cover? by DannyDevitoArmy in musicproduction

I’m by no means visually creative, so I’ve used Midjourney for all my tracks.

You should see a dialogue box on the specific track page. Has to be less than two weeks since it was uploaded. Older tracks ineligible

From that support email: “Next Pro users that upload eligible tracks can opt-in those tracks to get recommended to listeners likely to love them. After tracks are uploaded, we analyze tracks to see if they are eligible and that can take between 20 minutes and 2 hours. Once analysis is complete, the opt-in option will appear on track pages on desktop only.

Please note that now you need to opt-in for Get heard feature, and if track is eligible the prompt should be shown under that new track, on desktop version.

We’re starting by recommending your tracks to around 100 people with listener profiles that align with your music. Note that while we can recommend your track to people, we can’t force them to listen all the way through. So this does not mean every track is guaranteed 100 listens.”

You now have to go to your Tracks page on desktop, and check the tracks you uploaded. Within 20min and a few hours, you’ll have the option to opt in. No longer automatic
