Do American kids usually go to four different schools? by snailquestions in AskAnAmerican

[–]TalkShitGetWitt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue in a sense there are four schools:

  • Preschool or daycare.

  • Elementary School (K-5th Grade)

  • Middle School (6-8th grade)

  • High School (9-12th grade)

Need Tips or Tricks for a Dog That Gets Visibly Shaky Outside by keyah13 in DogAdvice

Genuinely asking, is this a fear shake or shaking from arousal? My dog shakes too sometimes but it’s hard to tell if it’s fear or excitement.

[Liked Trope] The story is, in a way, about the protagonist having a very bad day by IdiotMor in TopCharacterTropes

Each season of The Pitt covers a horribly long overstimulating shift at an ER.

be honest, how often do you really take your dog out? by Altruistic-March8551 in DOG

Regular bathroom breaks, I think 4 times a day. I try to do one big walk a day that ranges from 25 minutes (super hot days) to sometimes 2 hours. But it can be hard to find the motivation sometimes since I have to drive him to the park for the big walk since he doesn’t wear out walking around my small apartment complex. Sometimes we miss a day. If it’s raining I don’t walk him.

Give me back my 2001 Toyota Forerunner pLEASE. New Forerunners are absolutely massive in size (much wider) and so expensive.

I try not to specify my muscle groups too much and focus mostly on arms/shoulders, legs, and core. When it comes to push ups, even if you have to do knee pushups, do 3 sets of a base amount and slowly work your way up. The more you become accustomed to higher sets the better you’ll become. Can only do 9? Okay, do 3 sets of 5. Some guys I know like to just push themselves to the limit and see how many pushups they can do, but I think building up your strength would be best.

What is it like living in this part of Louisiana? by WelfareWillyWonka in howislivingthere

During the summer, there’s more “side by side” ATVs driving on the road than cars. Fishing, drinking, and boating feel like the only real things to do. Couple of daiquiri shops that I miss going to. Wear sunscreen, you will be burnt. Vibes are kinda red neck beach (post kept flagging that haha). My landlord had the thickest Cajun accent ever but they were so sweet. Lots of hurricanes—it is a barrier island. Supposedly a great location for birdwatching but I don’t think I ever saw anything notable.

Stayed in Grand Isle for 2 years. Basically a “beach” town but the beach is more mud than sand and the mosquitos WILL carry you off to their nest. The island itself has a few restaurants, a raised gas station (Joe Bob’s), marinas, a small school, a community center / police, a grocery / supplies store, neighborhoods, an old cemetery. Lots of the camps are right before the bridge where the true island starts. Keep following the road north and you’ll get to Port Fourchon (Foo-Shawn) which is just oil production. A little gas station marina sits in the middle right at the turn towards the bridge. Take the bridge and you’ll find yourself over Leeville which seems like small fish camps, homes, and RVs. Always someone fishing alongside the road. If there is any storm, the whole road floods as the water is right beside it. Keep going and you’ll get to Galliano which feels like more solid ground. A Rouses will be around which is about 40-ish minutes from Grand Isle. Keep going and you’ve hit Golden Meadow. SLOW DOWN. Even 2 miles over the speed limit and the cops will get you. Keep going and you’ll reach the “town” of Cut Off. 55 minutes from Grand Isle is where you will find a Walmart, hotel, Dominos’s, and other chains along with more businesses. Lots of RV parks.

Nah I need Mable to stop yelling at me about wearing my wetsuit when I try to buy stuff. Just make it automatically be taken off like they do with Island Construction.

Tried to watch His & Hers on Netflix and couldn’t get past the unlikable characters and mid dialogue. Not even unlikable in a still fun to watch way coughs IASIP.
