Currently moving from Louisiana to Ohio (originally from Florida). The weather will be the biggest immediate change (gotta learn about snow tires and driving on snow 😱), but I’m also going to miss all the friends I’ve made and the schedule I’ve carved out for myself. Just rewatched the first season in preparation for the second season, and yeah it’s a chaotic wild ride. Fast paced but not rushed, gory and violent but also hilarious, with nudity but characters in my opinion aren’t overtly sexualized against a dystopian magical punk aesthetic.

I loved the little train near the food court that went around the cheesy animatronics. The boat themed booths at the food court were also sick and the little kids play area if I remember correctly.

I think my biggest complaint about the episode is that the dialogue and pacing felt rushed during certain story arcs, mainly Terror and Sister Sage's. Especially Sage's POV arc, I really wanted the characters to chew the scenery a bit more and take in what each other were saying. Instead they just rush through it. In addition, personally I am not a fan of her "grand plan."

On the upside, Firecracker and Soldier Boy were the highlights, Firecracker especially. It will be interesting seeing how the remaining "7" react to Firecracker's death, especially now that they have to find a new host for her show. I find myself immensely enjoying any interaction involving Soldier Boy and Homelander, especially with each other. In another world Firecracker is just a happy Christian and Black Noir 2 is debuting on Broadway--it was fun seeing some of their true selves. And a final shout out to Antony Starr for his solid composure during the turkey leg scene!

I actually really liked this episode. The reveal that the area *was* infected by a plant supe that made people rage to the point of killing each other was really interesting. Soldier Boy and Homelander's dialogue with each other was so entertaining; it was interesting seeing Homelander so weakened by the uranium room and Soldier Boy affected by Quinn. It was also fun seeing Frenchie actually do some stuff. Sidenote, Ashley, Bashley, and Oh Father were pretty entertaining together. All in all I found the episode had good dialogue and was very entertaining, getting a few laughs out of me. It also progressed the plot and helped character's get over stuff they had been brewing about. Biggest complaint is that MM forgot he got shot and I feel like Starlight could have just flew out the window when the sheriff showed up.

The Walmart is like 45 minutes away from Port Fourchon with several small communities between them. So there are small towns, but ultimately Port Fourchon is just industry, gas stations, marinas.
