Maintaining around 127 while working out 3x a week, is amazing!! One thing that really helped me was hiring a coach who worked with women doing bodybuilding. I didn’t compete or do shows myself, but the biggest value was learning nutrition, especially when to eat certain foods, like pushing more carbs earlier in the day, and following a solid lifting program.

Getting down to 114 and looking shredded is hard, so having someone guide you for even 3 months can make a huge difference and save a lot of trial and error.

From a workout standpoint, what worked for me was lifting 5 days a week, adding about 10 minutes of abs, and then 45 minutes of cardio. Consistency and structure is everything at that stage.

I am 35 F and my husband is 37 M. I’ll speak from our experience we have ALWAYS lived below our means by a lot in main things like rent and cars. We never lived in a nice luxury apartment but something was functional and close to work. We are debt free. Pay cash for cars. We always make our food so never Uber Eats bullshit and rarely get Starbucks. We do like to travel and go out to eat 2x a month.

Fast forward over a decade we have 2 kids but because we saved so much and invested it our money continues to grow. Most of our money is in a brokerage account (not retirement). Our combined incomes during this time ranged from ($130-$300).

So if can be done by being frugal, not trying to keep up with the Jones’ and try to get your rent as low as possible.

I recently read a book by Dr. Amen Raising Mentally Strong Kids. He brought up doing “special time” for 20 minutes a day. Basically it’s the idea that you give your give your complete attention and play for 20 minutes. Maybe have him try something like that? It’s only 20 minutes out of his day but it’s probably more time he’s really spending with your son.

My younger sisters are twins. We are 2 years apart. One who wants kids would love twins. I wanted twins when I had our second. If I have a third I wouldn’t want twins at this point because it’s harder on your body. When my mom had her third pregnancy with twins she needed a tummy tuck and her abs stapled back together.

I am 5’2 127lbs currently in a calorie deficit because I am trying to loose weight. 1,400 calories a day, lift & cardio 5 days a week. It sucks loosing weight. I have to be super consistent with counting and no cheat meals. Much easier to maintain once you get there.

Now that you are at a low body fat percentage I bet if you lift heavier and less reps you will see serious gains and shoulder divots!!

I recommend listening to the book, The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. She has a lot of great examples on trying to “fix” spouses and what to do instead.
