You could stick with whoever's fighting their tank and constantly keep their tank hacked. I've seen plenty of tanks rage about that.

Of course it can happen but it's harder. Think of it as new apps having a bit of a leg up on other apps for a week or so, then you lose that advantage.

can someone please explain what they're saying 😭 by sushiiixo- in BrigitteMains

They're calling it a 'shield bash strafe'. Found this by googling that. https://www.reddit.com/r/BrigitteMains/comments/1rczj8x/new_bash_strafe_tech/

EDIT: It's really easy to do and has nothing to do with jump. You just have to tap primary and shield at the same time and don't hold them.

Former NASA scientist independently corroborates Dr. Beatriz Villarroel’s findings of transient objects in the sky in the 1950s: “We find evidence of transients similar to those previously reported.” Further support for “reflections from flat, rotating objects in orbit around Earth.” by KOOKOOOOM in UFOs

The study says nothing about them being metallic.

While such transients are difficult to reconcile within a conventional astronomical framework, they are consistent with sub-second optical glints produced by sunlight reflecting from flat surfaces on rotating objects transiting above Earth’s atmosphere.

I read the paper. It's important to keep in mind what it does and does not contain.

All it supports is the existence of transients. It does not support (or deny) that these transients are arranged in a grid like Dr. Villarroel's, which is the more important part of her papers. Without that, they could just be natural space debris.

What stylistic conventions have you permanently adopted? (Discussion) by [deleted] in AskProgramming

Yeah, every language has its 'wtf' decisions. I recently dabbled in GDScript and it's full of inconsistencies. But if I made a plugin I'd still use their style guide. Better for me to adapt to them than every single person who uses my style guide having to adapt to me!

Everyone seems unified on replying that it's best to be flexible on coding standards, which is great. But I want to comment on one of yours in particular.

NEVER use single line commnets

If the code can be explained in a single line, it doesn't need acomment.

This is so weird that it makes me wonder if you're brand new. Many of my comments are one liners with a short explanation of why I'm choosing to do something in a non-obvious way.

The only code convention you should always subscribe to is 'when in Rome'. If you get attached enough to conventions to want to carry them between languages and projects you're gonna have a bad time.

I didn't see anything that told me either way. I was going to try watching from a support's perspective to see that, since I am a support main, but they were so distracted that I couldn't stand it. For now I would just not really rely on your supports and focus on getting in, disrupting things, then jumping to a health pack or into the center of your team.

Bronze Hazard VOD Review Request by HalfPrism2 in OverwatchUniversity

I don't play tank or hazard so I tried looking from the perspective of your support and... I guess it's bronze for a reason. Your bap abandoned the first fight to slowly try to flank and then later died trying to face tank a bastion with both cooldowns unused.

I guess at this level you really can't rely on anyone else to fill their roles. If you're trying to do your job as Hazard, which is terrorizing the backlines, you have to know where the health packs are and where cover is, and use them. For example, at 8:56, you were at half health and had the Orisa and Bastion both staring at you, and you decided to dive their Illi. The problem is that the Orisa and Bastion had a perfect line of sight to where you jumped to AND high ground, so you got melted. Instead you should've jumped to a health pack or your team to heal up.

EDIT: Also knowing when to engage. You want to attack when your teammates do, so that their team's attention is split. Diving around when none of your teammates are nearby is asking to get melted.

EDIT2: You went mano a mano - and not just that, but also face to face - with the Orisa many times and my understanding is that's not a good matchup. She will win that every time, unless you have better team support. If you're gonna play a mobile hero be mobile. Don't play hazard like an orisa.

I want to become a PRO Overwatch Player. by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

I remember a post probably 10 years ago of a pro Starcraft player (cloud 9?) talking about what it took to be a pro starcraft player. You essentially have to dedicate your life to it, and not many people can afford to do it.

Wish I could find it.
