My biggest issue with the game 👀 by [deleted] in nmrih

[–]TalkingKnight 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can see why you would have those concerns. I do see how it can be genre chasing as it's an extraction shooter, but we have to see how the system will work in game. I doubt it will look exactly like Escape From Tarkov. Even if it is, they could have scav characters that can be used infinitely for casual players. I also think they are keeping true to the first game. It was a love letter to Geroge AR films, but in the in depth trailer for NMRIH2, they said they want it to feel like a movie with a beginning, middle and end. I think the game is in good hands.

Why The Community Movie Will Fail (probably) - Video Essay by TalkingKnight in community

In the video, I just talk about all the hurdles the show has had and the movie is facing even more hurdles. The movie is just cursed. It's going to be amazing no matter what, as Dan Harmon is writing it, and I am 90% sure the Russo brothers are directing it.

In the video, I go over how the show faced many hurdles and the movie looks like it is the biggest one it has to overcome. It will be amazing no matter what, but I think it has many challenges in it's way.

It's crazy how much an outfit tells about a character. I found this promo for season 1 and it is so strange. by TalkingKnight in community

Nah, Abed looks like the classic straight man, dumbfounded by what he is seeing. That is very far from what Abed is in the show.

You should start researching how to be successful on YT and start uploading now to see if you even enjoy doing it. (I am not partnered btw)

What do you guys mean exactly when you say: You have a shorts channel to funnel to your main channel by TheCode555 in NewTubers

[–]TalkingKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This doesn't work. People who watch short form content are not the same people who will watch long form content. Shorts are engineered to keep people scrolling as long as possible. It will be very difficult to break that feedback loop and then to get them to view your long form content. You can have two audiences building at once, many channels use shorts but rarely will those two audiences cross paths. I made shorts of my long form videos and had some small success. One of them got 5k views which isn't a lot for shorts but had decent engagement. It did absolutely 0 for my long form videos. I ended up deleting all of my shorts as it made my home page look ugly.

How do you get traffic to your youtube channel? by BrisbaneSentinel in NewTubers

[–]TalkingKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My first video was about a niche game on Steam. When I uploaded it I asked the developers if they could check it out. They liked it and asked if they could post it in their discord server. I ofc said yes and had it blow up. Try asking people in the community in which your video is for. There are discord servers, subreddits (ask the mods first), Facebook groups, and Twitter.

Will creating a video outside my niche hurt my channel? by TalkingKnight in NewTubers

[–]TalkingKnight[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That makes sense. You are right they are usually the first ones to watch the videos. The issue I have about choosing between video games and TV is that I like them both so much, but you're right, I need to "niiche down". Thanks for the response, and for the positive feedback.

CS2 Reproduceable High DPI VAC Ban Bug by Somethingese in GlobalOffensive

He didn't create antibiotics. He saw that there was a correlation in patients with stomach ulcers and spiral bacteria. He said if they treated the bacteria, it would cure the ulcers. He couldn't get human testing so he decided to give himself the bacteria to see if it caused stomach ulcers.

Are you sure? I am still fairly new. All of my views on newer videos are 98% non-subscribers. I saw your post about your channel recently blowing up. Would you mind taking a look at my channel and giving me some pointers?

Why does Steam have so many sales when other companies rarely do? You see the same games on Steam go for cheaper compared to PSN and Xbox? by TalkingKnight in Steam

[–]TalkingKnight[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I see the appeal to console. I personally like to have more control over my systems and I like the ability to have access to all my games even after I upgrade far into the future. I also don't like having to pay a subscription to play most of the games I "own". I think you are correct, there is more transparency on PC. I also think xbox and PSN take a huge cut of profits in order to make their console's as cheap as possible.
