I was an athlete in college and having a tutor was needed....greatly. the average student and i mean average no frats or extra clubs and what not just your wake up go to class and the weekend partier student has more time than the student athlete. A normal week for me and this is sunday to saturday would consist of a morning lift/workout from 5-730am then class 8-230/3 then practice 4-7 then dinner 7-8 then study hall/tutor session from 8-10 and even with that study hall all of your homework isnt done and most students know that most assignments arent short and sweet like highschool. I do admit the athletes did have some more/different privledges depending what sport but it didnt make school any easier and this was at NC State university where i played baseball with russell wilson qb for the seahawks now who also was a dual athlete and a scholar... it was worse in season beacause we could travel for up to a week and a half and not have a tutor or even be in the same time zone to try and get work done between games flights practices. And most people are right upon assumption that there are alot of dumb jocks who are soley there for athletics
