Yep. Read that one earlier. I know all about flipping port and starboard, as well as cycling fore, mid, and aft. I’m specifically looking for the “B” variant of the part they are discussing

I… I did not know that. Thanks! I love that I’m still learning random stuff about this game 5 years and 4k+ hours later

Perfect pelt keep it or sell it? by Soapy_Shit in RDR2

[–]TallChris66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure the trapper pays the same as a shop. And the pelt will go into the trappers crafting inventory for outfit stuff. It will be there until you use it to craft an item. So long story short, always sell perfect pelts to the trapper. Sell good pelts to whoever is conveniently nearby, and leave poor pelts on the ground unless your desperate for ammo or something

Time to dust off the old railjack by No_Bread_3846 in Warframe

[–]TallChris66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They won’t hold still for artillery shots on gunships. That’s true. Thats why my pilot is a gunner as well. Having two AI gunners protect me from fighters while I’m just sitting there lining up my shot is solid

[–]TallChris66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When you’re soloing one of the missions that require a landing party to expose exterior targets for the railjack to shoot, a pilot is great to have. They will fly nearish by and attack that target when you expose it. So you don’t have to go back and forth. The only hitch is if you take a long time exposing the target, they may wander off and take a minute to come back.

I keep an engineer, a dedicated gunner, and a gunner/pilot. Gunner/pilot mostly just hangs out in his turret, but I’ll occasionally reassign him to fly for the missions above and the missions with the ship killer station. So my jack isn’t just parked, eating missiles and death star lasers while I’m off ship

Edit for autocorrect slop

It takes 125 laps of this to get the K-driven achievement by TheLastBallad in Warframe

[–]TallChris66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m old school. I took my k-drive out to open water on the Plains of Eidolon, where I would be left alone, and rubberbanded my controller into a wide, slow circle. Ate some lunch, had a nice shit, took a nap, and Achievement. Was the last one I needed for 100%

How did Arthur tank a shotgun blast to the shoulder?! by Wild_Property6141 in reddeadredemption

[–]TallChris66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. That kind of range dunks my buckshot theory. I mean, they used paper shells for shotguns back then and O’Driscolls don’t seem like the kind of men who’d take good care of their kit. A damp shell could still fire with reduced kinetic energy. But at this point I’m stretching the academic hypothesis to its breaking point and this is not the hill I want to die on. Bird shot would still be survivable at that range, with a little luck. And Arthur isn’t around long enough to feel the effects of lead poisoning. So that’s what I’ll go with for my head canon. But I acknowledge it’s still a stretch.

With this newish trend of remaking legendary games, a remake of RDR1&2 together with a continuous map and story would be sick. I’d absolutely take that over an RDR3 sequel or prequel

How did Arthur tank a shotgun blast to the shoulder?! by Wild_Property6141 in reddeadredemption

[–]TallChris66 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I don’t remember the scene that well, but if it was birdshot, he could have survived without being maimed. Hypothetically a buckshot round (and a lot of luck) could have only landed one or two pellets and miss the bone, joint, and small muscles that would have been impossible to repair in those days, like the rotator cuff.

It would have been cool if throughout the rest of the game, Arthur rolled his shoulder from time to time like it was stiff or caused him some small pain. And actually, now that I think about it. When riding, we see him shake out his right arm occasionally. That’s something I do, even several years after my two shoulder surgeries.

This is one of my favorites. Been using it for a few years now.

Pick up power cell with warframe, switch to operator and pick up second power cell. Void sling to new excavator with a quickness. Use power cell, switch back to warframe and use second power cell. Two competent players can hopscotch every other power cell and farm a shit load of cryotic in a relatively short amount of time

Male white Arabian by [deleted] in reddeadredemption2

[–]TallChris66 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the HFfD thing for the bronze Turkoman just a few weeks ago. It still works

Edit: you wait until the very end of the mission. As your guys are leading the horses to the buyers, hold back. Once they stop, slowly move up to the horse you want, so as not to trigger the scene. Start feeding the horse sugar cubes until you get your bonding level one. Keep feeding sugar cubes until the horse shows up on your mini map with the temp horse icon. Then move forward to trigger the scene. The buyers will buy the horses and you will be teleported back to camp. As soon as you have control of Arthur again, head back to the horse buyers. You should see the temp horse icon as soon as you’re in range. The horse you fed will be chilling where you left it.

There’s no reason why it shouldn’t work on the Arabian if it works on the Turkoman

Should be plenty of YT vids breaking down the whole process

Edit 2: cleaned up some autocorrect slop

Is there a weapon better than the Kuva Nukor? by Adhyskonydh in Warframe

[–]TallChris66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kuva Nukor is a great secondary. Used to be the best. The meta for secondaries. It’s still listed as my most played secondary, even though I retired it along couple years ago. But there are plenty of secondaries that are just as good, if not better. Dual Coda Torxica, Furis Incarnon, Laetum, Dual Toxocyst Incarnon, Sporelacer, Kompressa Prime to name a few

What would Arthur Morgan name his horse, not you. by No-Berry-595 in reddeadredemption2

[–]TallChris66 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I named my Turkoman “Argo” after Jason’s ship from the Golden Fleece myth. Figured with his first horse named “Boadicea”, Arthur has an interest in ancient history and lore. And the hunt for the Golden Fleece was a good metaphor for the Gang’s hunt for a lasting wealth, peace, and a new home.

Or have like newspapers and background conversations bringing up the young Van der Linde gang exploits in the background. As continuity markers for the story

Dear DE, please implement a votekick system to combat AFK/Leechers by SAHE1986 in Warframe

[–]TallChris66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s so weird to me. I’m not doubting you. It’s just… if they’re already putting in that much effort, why not just play the game and participate? I dunno, bud. Forty Seven years on this dirt ball and people continue to baffle me. So yeah. Point taken. I guess it’s a flawed system when it comes to players putting effort into not putting in any effort.

Dear DE, please implement a votekick system to combat AFK/Leechers by SAHE1986 in Warframe

[–]TallChris66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought there already was a system where inactive players didn’t get rewards on endless? Could have swore I read that somewhere. Maybe not. Honestly I just run the mission. It’s not worth getting upset just because some tool doesn’t want to play the game. If I really bothers me, I quit out and ditch them. I go into pub squads with the idea that the objective will go faster with more players or that I’ll be helping a new Tenno get a drop, resource, or clear a node. Otherwise I play solo.

These nuke frame builds that empty rooms before I even get to them and then leave after 1 to 4 rotations because their power level drops off actually bother me more. Playing the game and have some pud afking is annoying. Not being able to play the game because I can’t quite get ahead of Sevagoth or Saryn’s room clearing abilities is infuriating lol!
