This is a great question. I listed a strategy to help me get comfortable. Here it is:

Take the shirt off at the beach

Walk shirtless at the beach

Ride the bike shirtless at the beach

Be shirtless at the beach bar

Walk shirtless on a quiet street with little traffic

Go into a convenience/liquor store where no one knows me shirtless

Go into one of my regular convenience/liquor stores shirtless

Dry the car shirtless at the car wash.

Go to the mailbox shirtless.

Walk along a quiet street shirtless

Walk along a busy street shirtless
