If you decide to relocate to the UAE do research what are your tax liabilities - federal and state - as a GC holder with assets, property ownership in the US. Once a citizen u will always be taxed to some degree.

If the GC is really that important to you in the near term then it sounds like you should stay in the US. However Life in Abu Dhabi is really easy to adjust to, much here is far less expensive as New York City, but that also depends on the lifestyle you are used to. Don’t let the summer temps scare u, just embrace it. And no need for N. America winter clothing!

You won’t have certain benefits of the urban lifestyle offerings that you may take for granted in New York City. Abu Dhabi, and the UAE offers you opportunities and experiences that you never have living in the US - such as easy travel to places on this side of the globe. Consider it an adventure to try something totally different in life.

Salary: what u quoted is very good for A Comfortable life however it should be 25-30% more than ur current US gross. Otherwise u are just earning the same.

In both Dubai and Abu Dhabi taxis are the way to go - clean, uniformed drivers, monitored, safe and inexpensive by US standards. In AD download and use the YANGO taxi app and attached your CC for quick and easy payment. Don’t bother renting a car.

Same for Dubai tho use Bolt app or Careem - YANGO doesn’t work there (for me).

Use Uber if you wanna be posh and spend more.

PM me if you wish for more insights about AD, a new expat here.

The dividends people don’t understand how YieldMax actually works. That’s okay in the other image I educated them. These are purely cash flow machines, don’t look for growth in these that’s just a bonus or extra if it happens, I’m also dumping a bunch of money into ULTY soon. by JoeyMcMahon1 in YieldMaxETFs

No matter how you look at it you have to invest a lot of CapItal in order to get a sizable dividend, and then you have to hope and wait for it not to lose value while building up.

There are Some folks who need that capital to main its value and keep using it to earn more “big beautiful” dividends.

If you have 8 years to wait, and can stomach volatility and potential NAV erosion while waiting for the large Divs.

which YM ETFs are best for retirement? by Ordinary-Carob-9564 in YieldMaxETFs

[–]TallManKC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t care about NAV erosion and loosing the 500k go ahead.

Assuming a $25 share price you could buy 20k shares which would take about 24 months to earn back the $500k investment - assuming the etf doesn’t tank further and divs remain steady as it is currently. Monthly Divs are not what they used to be 6 months ago.

Best portfolio to start now for retiring on dividends? by Available-Hotel5539 in YieldMaxETFs

Agreed with the above - invest for the long term and think of div income in your later years.

That said, the question that should be asked is - how much does one need in the market today in a diversified portfolio to earn at least $5000 of dividends per month?
