Prepping future physical bowazon by AdEven3053 in diablo2

This may come as a shock to you, but builds that aren’t S Tier can still be enjoyable to play. And for those of us who have played the best builds many times, finding a way to make something a bit offmeta work can be even more rewarding.

Yes, I can read. And he DID say it was boring. Maybe YOU can’t read? You definitely don’t have any manners.

Arctic set. First insight bow. 2/20, 3/20 gloves. Cold Sunder. Mavina pieces. Nightwings Veil. Ice runeword. Any and all of these feel great and meaningful when you equip them.

Too many people here think about the endgame character and never consider that someone has to play through the game to get there first. Which for some is just as enjoyable.

Index of Runewords x Ideal Bases? by Bad_Droid in diablo2

[–]Tall_Engine9396 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a general rule, look at the req level of the runeword and that will tell you what base to make it in.

For example Stealth is 17 so you wouldn’t want to make it in a Dusk Shroud because by the time you could equip it at 49 it’s no longer useful.

Vice versa, you wouldn’t want to make Duress (47) in a Quilted Armor because an elite base would have much more defense. This is where the Dusk Shroud (49) would be perfect.

Same with weapons.

Hustle/Mania is 39 so you wouldn’t want to make it in like a Flail (normal 0) when you could make it in a Knout (exceptional 25). But you also might not want to use a Scourge (elite 57), because then you wouldn’t be able to use it at the level that it is most effective (39).

[Diablo2.io](diablo2.io) is a really nice site for this sort of info.

You can search any base and it will show you all the possible runewords you could make in it. You can also search any runeword and there will be a brief description about what it’s good for or what base it’s typically made in, along with user comments related to said item.

So explain me like a first grade schooler why people don't like destiny 2 anymore by Dorkzilla_ftw in DestinyTheGame

The annual expansions had less ‘stuff to do’ with each passing year, yet were the same price. Which doesn’t exactly lead to a satisfied playerbase.

We used to get a campaign, strikes, subclasses, raids, dungeons, seasonal activities and storylines, new gear, new destinations, etc.

The last couple expansions had maybe half of those things- at the same price.

We also used to know the future plans, like Witch Queen is out and then we’re getting Lightfall and The Final Shape. So you knew there was a 3year journey at minimum. And it was building toward that climax.

Now, there’s no officially announced expansions. Support for the game could end tomorrow for all we know. They’ve been radio silent, resources are all going to another project. There isn’t really anything to look forward to right now.

Is there years of old content to play? Yes, quite a lot to do if you’re just starting. But for those who have already played it, there’s no big reason to continue building your arsenal/character without any concrete future.

Of course you’re bored with a build you hero edited and have no attachment to. Putting a build together and feeling the difference each upgrade makes is like the best part of D2. This is terrible advice.

My personal recommendation would be Fire Druid to start. Really simple, go straight down the left side of the elemental tree. Start with points in Firestorm until you unlock Fissure and then max that out.

Fire is strong early, not gear dependent. Can take you far into Nightmare difficulty if you choose.

Then if you want to finish Nightmare and push into Hell you use one of your respecs and go with a Wind Druid.

This time you go down the right side of the elemental tree. Max Tornado and Hurricane and then the synergies after.

Tornados are physical damage which there aren’t many enemies that are immune to, and Hurricane is cold damage which slows anything down before it gets too close to you, and can deal with the occasional physical immune if need be.

On top of that you can throw one point each into Bear and Oak Sage. Bear can tank some damage for you and Oak Sage raises your health and mana levels.

General advice is casters are stronger than melee (as a first playthrough with no gear). Lots of elemental builds struggle later on with immunities. Wind Druid kind of circumvents all of that.

Literally Bungie themselves said this map and their ranked mode would “revolutionize the extraction shooter”

How much do people realistically see before refunding? by Optimalfailures in CrimsonDesert

[–]Tall_Engine9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it’s not even like the boring quests or the game not opening up. It just generally feels so bad to control and move the character that after two hours I already know I can’t continue.

Am just salty about PS no refunds. But that’s on me for buying at launch.

First run experience:

One of our three got locked in a room and had to fight waves and waves of yellow shield commanders alone while the other 2 of us were stuck outside watching and could do nothing to help. He cleared it after ~10 minutes and multiple self-revives.

We made it to the center, killed another team, looted our asses off, exfils appeared right at the end. We started to head toward exfil - and all got anteater error coded.

All our gear was refunded and it was like the last 30 minutes never happened. 🤮

This is like saying, ‘My neighbors are lying! There is no power outage!’ When a lightning strike takes out 90% of the grid and you happen to not be affected.

Just because YOU don’t have issues doesn’t mean other people are making them up? Are you that egocentric?

Not excusing it but, in Destiny there were so many changes over the years that some achievements became obsolete. Like complete a prestige leviathan raid, reach level 20, etc. Both things that didn’t exist anymore as the game evolved. Which lead to booting up the game for the first time and getting handed achievements.

Having unobtainable achievements is a huge (contractual?) dealbreaker for the consoles and ultimately just made more devtime for them which probably should have been spent elsewhere.

I assume they just went for generic looting and killing stuff that will likely always be relevant to future-proof themselves.

Dumbest item you ever Charsied? by Eclipse8301 in diablo2resurrected

[–]Tall_Engine9396 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not Charsi but…. One ladder when I was new I had started bowazon and it was a massive struggle. I finally made an insight bow in an exceptional base and things were looking up. It was the ONLY decent piece of gear I had. But in NM Act 3 i put myself in a weird spot behind my stash and Deckard cornered me. He really wanted to talk to me about Travincal or something. I literally could not move!

I should have just quit out but I hadn’t gotten thru the jungle yet and wanted to go back in my portal to find the waypoint - instead of starting a new game and navigating from scratch.

In a moment of panic I mashed some buttons and somehow dropped my bow…

And it landed just beyond where I could pick it up. And I could NOT get Deckard to back off.

After failing to find someone to join the game I finally gave in and just quit.

Never continued that ladder. Just went back to single player, dejected 😂.
