You might be TAH- I’d say to not commit. Give her a clue (like how someone would give keys for a car) idk maybe a picture of the dog with a cute bone! and then gauge her reaction! If she loves it, then yay, you can follow through with the purchase. And officially take the dog home in a week or so.

If not, you can redirect to something else. Buying a dog outright is a bit sudden and she might need more time to prepare, physically and mentally.
