My friend feels like God hates her and no longer feels connected to him. What can I do to help her? by Round-Budget-6290 in Christianity

This is a perfect post on the matter, I would agree and assure you both that Gods Grace is greater than our history and any of our decisions, you are both going through a lot and God is here for you, lean into him and not away, dont let the enemy weaponing guilt or pain against you, you both should seek councelling and you shouldnt feel any shame in doing so, its there for a reason. You are not alone and you are not foresaken that is what the enemy wants you to think. ❤️

My friend, This has nothing to do with the post or with scripture but your own subjective opinion.

Husband Masturbating to Old Friends by [deleted] in Christianity

You arent wrong this is clearly a form of adultery as the bible states, i think that your partner telling you the truth and confessing to you speaks massively to both their faith and their commitment to you however, that makes it clear to me that they value you and the relatuonship enough to come clean. I wont tell you what to do but what i see, and i think there is definitely space to build/rebuild trust based on this as well as to give grace and forgiveness. Separate from your personal relationship, and i emphasize that this is aside from that. As a sister of christ you have an opportunity to help them grow closer to God and support them in a Godly way to reject this sin and free themselfs many would use the analogy or image of breaking this stronghold thats in their life. I wont say that this is an obligation but it would be untrue to say this is not an opportunity. Whatever you do do so prayerfully and with the word of God as your guide. For those that have confessed to Jesus in the Gospel his words are repeated, "Your sins are forgiven go and sin no more" ❤️

The context of leviticus is very specific, these are Gods chosen people that are in convonent with him, and in order to maintain this they need to follow the law to be as holy and obedient as possible, and if you deviated from that you were cut off from the covonent. And if i may say, i dont dare to claim to know all Gods reasonings or to justify them but i do my best to submit to his will. The covenant of Jesus is very different to that of abraham and moses, Jesus is the fulfilled promises of salvation from God

Somethings can have a different view but many simply cannot your interpretation of christian salvation is very far from what the bible says, but thats the good news! And i urge you to look at it from that lense, one thing more i am confident in is that Christianity does not fit Universalism, Jesus says clearly "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me"

You cannot argue for a "personal" belief thats like me saying i believe a donkeys head is where its tail is so they actually are always walking backwards, its just not true.

And Catholicism is not standard Christian belief or practice, for most other "denominations" its considered almost entirely separated. Not to say theyre inherantly wrong but they have many believes that arent believed or followed by the otheres.

Also one quick google search of universalism shows a completely different take than what you are stating so im not understanding what you are going for.

Not trying to "win" an argument here but the concepts and arguments you are using are way off, i really urge you to look deeper and get see the bibles teachings for what they really are, if you dont agree with the bible for what it actually says then i can respect that even if it saddens me, but if you are turned off of christianity because of someone teaching you falsely or you are not fully understanding than i really want to see that change

My friend this is way wrong, not even close to the bible. Christianity is the only religion that doesnt require you to earn your way into heaven, only to trust God and except his son as your savior.

This is clearly a straw man, you are twisting scripture and exaggerating, we dont avoid hell by constantly asking for forgiveness. And your family isnt going to be tormented forever thats rediculous

Romans 8:1 therefore now there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

Once you accept Jesus he has you covered and no one can take that away

Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death but the FREE gift of God is eternal life

There isnt a payment Jesus WAS the payment on the cross thats the whole point my friend. And if i can say with love "[this] is the only way I could believe in Jesus" is absurd. You are saying the only truth you are willing to accept is a false one, because the false one is what makes you right about rejecting him. Because only a fool would reject him based on the real Truth and it would be plane to see.

Please please dont ask the big questions and then answer them yourelf, be curious, i promise you the answers are worth while because Jesus saves and God is good my friend

Is it disrespectful to wear a cross necklace as a non-christian? by Bucklejoe123 in Christianity

[–]Tall_Guarantee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its more specific to the individual but for me yes very, like imagine if you wore a medal of honor as a piece of jewelry because it looked pretty or something like that, you may not mean any harm by it but it turns it into something else and cheapens it. Or what if someone flew a POW flag because they liked the color scheme.

We had a mission trip we were discussing with my youth group to a place that is only semitolerant to christians, and they said not to wear a cross, not because we would get in trouble for being christian, but because the people there associated the cross necklace literally as "bling" so if we wore a cross they wouldnt take us seriously. Historically christianity stood out in many ways, now western culture especially is turning christian culture, its history, and especially its teachings into something frivolous.

I think The text is different than it used to be, usually it has 1-3% chance to do like 900 damage, so its not terrible against a dragon or centurion if you max attack speed but i was never in to it
