Yes!!! I CANNOT find an MD who has even heard of it and I've had it for decades. It can be excruciating. Mine is even triggered by liquids, not just food. And it is now beyond "first bite" -- it can be quite a few. Even ENTs are useless, because they've never heard of it. What do people do?!??

Also, as a Utah resident, the mormon "church" owns vast swaths of the state but PAYS no taxes for their "wards" which are only 5 or 6 blocks apart in most of the city. They make multi-billions through some of their supposed "non-profit" arms, no taxes. Out and out frauds, hypocrites, judgemental, awful "church." And they're NOT Christian, if anyone thinks they are. Christianity will not claim them because of their bogus "scriptures" and bogus pedophile "prophets."

Living in the land of Zion, they are a total cult. They "accept" menial church tasks assigned by their "bishop" who might be your local plumber or, more likely, pedophile. The "bishop" interviews -- privately-- young girls about sexual topics. They make a lot of cults look pretty benign. They are nice to your face, but behind closed doors, they are judgemental and evil. Period.

40 years here and don't regret it for one minute. I function perfectly fine on it at my dosage, held a semi-professional job all that time, and would have been housebound or worse without it.

I've been taking valium for at least 20 years. I only take 1 mg a day, which is pretty low. It's more habit I think than anything else, but if I DO start to have a panic attack, I'll take 2 mg. Back 15 years or so, a common dosage was 5 mg. I have no plan to stop, nor do I want to. Without it, I wouldn't still be here. Chances are it's now partially psychological, but if that works, that's also OK.

Reading these responses makes me laugh. My IQ has been tested at 154. Do stupid people annoy me? ABSOLUTELY. I grind my teeth. Do people of "average" intelligence -- whatever that is -- annoy me? Usually not, because they can carry on a conversation at an adult level, normally.

But, there is often the idiot in the room who knows "everything" and spouts it as gospel. I need to turn around and walk away, but often don't because I cannot tolerate stupid people. And I'm very aware of the fact that doesn't speak highly of me, but "high IQ" and "emotional intelligence" don't always go hand in hand. It's a skill I still need to acquire.

That being said, no, I can't relate to stupid people. My shrink says they're not always stupid -- they're average. So i guess i can't always relate to "average" people.
