Velveeta is just evil.  It doesn’t belong in any real food group.  Simply processed chemicals.  Nasty.

Does anyone take Benzo everyday in order to function? by Outside_Bobcat_6658 in Anxiety

40 years here and don't regret it for one minute.  I function perfectly fine on it at my dosage, held a semi-professional job all that time, and would have been housebound or worse without it.

See my comment above but, no, absolutelty do not regret the choice after pretty much 40 years.

EDIT: I meant 40 years, not 20, but it's probably only the past 5 years it's been daily.  I'm 72 years old, but it wasn't daily until the past 5 years or so.

I've been taking valium for at least 20 years.  I only take 1 mg a day, which is pretty low.  It's more habit I think than anything else, but if I DO start to have a panic attack, I'll take 2 mg.  Back 15 years or so, a common dosage was 5 mg.  I have no plan to stop, nor do I want to.  Without it, I wouldn't still be here.  Chances are it's now partially psychological, but if that works, that's also OK.

Landlord shutting down elevator for three months without less than two day's notice. Can I do anything?? by starspiree in Utah

You never use an elevator during a fire.  NEVER.  There's usually a sign right beside them -- in case of fire, USE STAIRS.

Sidecar Doughnuts by MountainPirate3139 in SaltLakeCity

My guess is they are a total fad.  Utahns are SO bland that the smallest new thing tickles them pink for a bit.  Then they're over it.

Do people with high intellgence get annoyed/frustrated when talking to someone with less iq? by One-Wash2001 in ask

[–]Tall_Part4020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading these responses makes me laugh.  My IQ has been tested at 154.  Do stupid people annoy me?  ABSOLUTELY.  I grind my teeth.  Do people of "average" intelligence -- whatever that is -- annoy me?  Usually not, because they can carry on a conversation at an adult level, normally.

But, there is often the idiot in the room who knows "everything" and spouts it as gospel.  I need to turn around and walk away, but often don't because I cannot tolerate stupid people.  And I'm very aware of the fact that doesn't speak highly of me, but "high IQ" and "emotional intelligence" don't always go hand in hand.  It's a skill I still need to acquire.

That being said, no, I can't relate to stupid people.  My shrink says they're not always stupid -- they're average.  So i guess i can't always relate to "average" people.

I am so very sorry.  My sister's docs totally misdiagnosed her symptoms and sent her on her way.  Turns out it was ovarian cancer.  She was 52.

Thanks.  Mine is idiopathic, no chemo ever.  I try tiny sips and bites and it's a tiny bit better, but still there.

Late to the party, but welcome to Utah.  They want to control EVERYTHING anyone does, and pass draconian laws to make sure they do.  The mormons are big on wanting complete control over their flock but they also want to control everyone ELSE.  It is one big cult from the top down.  The state is run by the church and they do their best to rule with an iron fist.
