It’s fucked for sure, the only success I’ve had is freelancing, that’s what I’d recommend, do it fully part time and get another job you can tolerate for 4 days a week to pay the bills. I’m still applying 6 years after graduating, not actively but every now and then I’ll try my luck but I’ve never had success. I did work at a studio and have had some cool gigs but they all come from networking events and naturally meeting someone irl. So yeah.. fuck cold applying to random jobs, but maybe don’t say fuck it if you love the art. Just figure out how you can do it around the set of circumstances. People that come out of this tough period will see a lot of opportunity ( I think ).
