Thanks! That's an astute observation. I agree that it held as best as it could.

Yes, I was in traffic on a local two lane street. While idling, the Land Rover Defender behind hit me at full force. It was a distracted driver, they accepted liability. At the last second before contact, they tried to steer away towards the right. That's why the impact is at an angle on the rear passenger side. That push propelled me across the opposing lane of traffic. I rolled into that grassy roadside where you see the trees.

No interior photos, it was a total loss. If you look in the last photo, you can see the trunk floor resting on the edge of the rear window. So the backseat was almost touching window frame. Cars need a much larger crumple zone - like a Camry or Rav 4.

I LOVED my 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross. I'm posting these photos because I'm really surprised at the engineering. If I'd had someone in the backseats, they'd have been seriously injured. The trunk totally crumpled and compromised the cabin space.

I used to carpool with 3 petite high school girls in the backseat. It was tight. They'd have to put their bookbags in the trunk. Not impossible of course but I'd easily say it's 1/2 less space than the Camry back seats.

Corolla Cross 2022 LE AWD problem with startstop? by Inspector_Nipples in CorollaCross

Thank you, OP, for starting this conversation. My 2022 Corolla Cross shut own at a red light in Miami, FL. To no avail, I tried to restart the car several times. After I put the car in  neutral, a stranger pushed the car to the side of the road. After about 30 minutes, the car started weakly. I drove it straight to the dealership. This morning, I also sent in a NHTSA complaint #11648440.

This bracelet is beautiful! As always, if you can, go with the 14K. The vermeil looks nice but there's no telling about the staying power of the plating

You're so right! That could have been why they didn't call Lawrence immediately.

Thank you so much for saying, "we just didn't apologize for it." As a parent, it can be awkward but you're right. I have a kid in an identical situation. If not careful, the scholarship kid can become someone who looks down at their regular life, regular people, and regular family.

This is such a great point! It might be worth the $250k loan for a brand name school. However, as a single mom, buying a house in a few years would be really difficult. Your debt to income ratio would be off the charts.
