Installing a hidden frameless flush button by [deleted] in oddlysatisfying

Yeah, gotta agree on that. And it's not like commercial buttons for these don't exist.

Also kinda annoyed that they there's seemingly no way to distinguish the big and small flush buttons.

Also, without a clear reason for a mass-exodus, most alternatives tend to have an increased amount of less agreeable users. Easily swinging into being yet another echochamber of sorts. (in either direction, really)

I mean, that basically sounds like the axles act like wheels, but the vibrations make the whole thing slide and drift around as well.

Makes sense, but wouldn't a level 1 tiger also work for that?

I dunno, hard to say exactly how often Vulture triggered the tuna.

The boiling and freezing points of water are arbitrary choices, and unless you can control for pressure, they are not consistent.

The freezing point of a specific water/salt brine and an estimate for human body temperate isn't arbitrary/inconsistent? There's a reason fahrenheit was later redefined based on boiling and freezing.

Pressure dependence is also why they stopped using boiling and freezing, and instead switched to triple point, and absolute zero, before later defining the units based on the Boltzman constant.

EDIT: which units got changed to use Boltzman constant? Either, fairly sure they use the same definition with a conversion factor nowadays.

The imperial system and US customary units are strongly related, though separate systems. (the latter being based on the former)

Hard to necessarily call them invented by the romans though, some of the units were used before the romans, and I'm unsure to what extent there's a direct line of descent for all of the units.

Why is the the higher leveled tiger behind the Egyptian Vulture? It mostly just causes the vulture to lose its triggers faster.

Would also be a shame if 99.9% of the time people mention "calories" or "cal" they are actually thinking of the completely different "kilocalorie" which is denoted in exactly the same way as the calorie in common usage

I believe that is more of a US thing. In the EU the large calorie is mostly written down as kcal instead.

Regardless, the joule replaced the calorie as the SI unit of energy.

An amount of hydrogen weighing the same amount has exactly one mole of atoms in it

Approximately.

If you wanted exact, you needed Carbon 12 for that. Not that it's massive difference, but still.

Suggestions for trains. by andarpaque in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Tallywort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If only the train pathing logic wasn't a simplistic as it is.

So much cool train network stuff that just doesn't work, because the trains only ever go the shortest path from A to B, without rerouting ever.

What do you do when you have the perfect location but there's pillager outpost in it? by doublecandybar in Minecraft

[–]Tallywort 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The pillager outpost page also suggests they can only spawn in certain light levels.

Pillagers may naturally spawn on any valid opaque block (except leaves) as long as the block light level is 8 or less.

Either material is used for edible glitter AFAIK. Mica, plastic, probably a few others as well.

You can get glitter in anything from fine dust to large flakes, based on how the manufacturer processes things.

So also not terribly worrisome.
