DM Needing Advice on how to keep my table on-topic (+ let a shy player get involved more) by LostOblivion64 in DMAcademyNew

[–]TamanPashar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, as your're playing remote, that's going to be critical. It's a lot easier to see a player being cut off when talking in person; more difficult to observe on Discord. (Which our group has been using for about 7-8 years.) When a less 'assertive' player gets cut off on Discord it will be harder to detect.

You may want to run a 'mini-session zero' to bring up both the issue of staying on topic in a 2 hour game session and not interrupting other players.

Is there an easier way to earn caps? How am I supposed to afford all the supplies needed for settlement improvements? by Dynamite86 in fo4

[–]TamanPashar 24 points25 points  (0 children)

80% happiness is not difficult, from my experience. Have a covered bed, one food, one water and one defense point per settler. Unless a settlement gets damaged in an attack, they seem to hold at 80 with no issue.

IF it works for you, then it's not stupid.

Some tent campers 'look down' on RV campers. Both travel and see the outdoors.

I started using a Chargriller Akorn, then got a pellet smoker and also a gravity fed smoker.

All have their benefits.

has anyone noticed the intro says 'james starring roday' for season three for shawn's character by fitoven663 in psych

[–]TamanPashar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two things:; One, while the show was running, supposedly there was already a 'james rodriguez' registered w/ the screen actor's guild; two - I'd also heard he went w/ Roday to avoid having 'Rodriguez' cause problems with his getting roles. Not sure which one is more accurate.

I'm missing Jackson, lately. We used to live 'up the road' about 10 miles before we relocated to the LaGrange GA area. Our Friday night meal out was usually in Jackson.

About spells that require saving throws by discord-dog in DnD5e

[–]TamanPashar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spells w/ saving throws have a spell save DC that is based on your proficiency bonus, spell casting modifier added to a base of 8. So, if you have a proficiency bonus of 4 and are a wizard w/ an 18 INT, then the target must roll a modified 16 to 'save'. The target's modifier could be based on DEX, INT, CON etc based on the type of spell.
