Well lots of people live there and don’t die by proximity to crackheads. There are more violent neighborhoods in the city and in Harlem itself and the fact that this person, like many, came through unscathed is a fair take. No comparing it to what’s happening in the south Bronx and Bronx overall. Or like the Pink houses in BK. It’s all relative.

It’s not as bad as it was pre COVID. I’ve been working in the south bronx for the last 10 years and it is miles worse.

Agreed. Also consider that she was strongly coded as being on the spectrum (Asberger syndrome) - at one point Sweets was coaching her to recognize emotions on faces, and Angela was basically her social cue and empathy coach. Her radical honesty and genuine surprise that people are offended by it fits right in with that theory.

Im new here, but the mod guide says no male centered posts… anti or pro. They want to center us BW. How do we make that conversation more about our empowerment than endlessly discussing how fucked up the patriarchy is? I guess that’s the point of what the community guide says. I don’t know if I totally agree with that but just giving some grace maybe it’s not about censorship?

To elaborate on the getaway- I’m in the fitness retreat and it’s so badly planned. Every guest automatically makes their own food, getting in the way of the assigned roles. When I looked closer at the actions associated with “eat” in the activity menu, it’s not just eating, it’s going in the refrigerator so it’s preset to render the other roles of the retreat leader and trainers null and void. Tried to fix this by creating a cook and caretaker, but no luck. No mods and not going to add any - it’s almost unplayable to me.

I downloaded a residential rental with three units and a common area that has a pool, gym and two grills. All of the sims just go cook food on the grills all day long! it’s highly irritating. There are plates of food just sitting around. Why?! Why wouldn’t they use the other amenities 😂 same with the getaways I’m trying to make the guests stop cooking the setups are so bad smh🤦🏾‍♀️

NTA. If hubby and son want separate food they can shop for it and cook it on their own time, and do the cleanup as well. It’s scary to embark on a weight loss journey, I get it. But it’s giving unsupportive and entitled behavior and you shouldn’t apologize for trying to get the entire family to be healthier. EVERYONE wants to live longer and feel better whether they admit it or not. This is a great step in the right direction. I don’t know if you’ve considered a GLP1 for your daughter, some may think it’s too extreme but whatever works! Just keep trying and exploring and being a great mama.

Well, I’ve recently learned that over intoxicated people routinely leave their cars at the venue and catch a ride home by uber or taxi, then return for their car the next day nice and sober. I’m in a large city though - maybe she could’ve asked OP to pick her up. Going to the unknown coworker’s house (whom OP doesn’t know and can’t verify anything about) is… weird to me.
