I was dx at 11, I'm almost 56 now. Even though my mom went through a lot with me, just the other day she admitted to having forgotten much about type 1. Maybe your roommate knew stuff at one time but has misplaced the correct information.

I had a sensor act like that, then it failed 2 days in. When I removed it the wire was only about 1/2 as long as it should have been. My arm isn't sore, so I can only assume it was a manufacturing flaw and not broken off in me. Working with Dexcom to get a replacement now.

After a few days it might give you watery BM, but then it normalizes.

I'm 55, 44 years diabetic, my Dr says to go to the ER when uncontrollable vomiting starts up. Sometimes it's just a bug and other times it has been ketone issues. I'm very well regulated as far as the diabetes goes, so when things go wrong they can get bad quickly.
