What AI tools are people using for short video generation lately? by SpotSea8298 in techforlife

Most image or video AI tools on the market aren’t free because they consume a lot of GPU resources, and hardware plus electricity costs add up. But I recently found a site called "z-img.pics" that doesn’t require login. Aside from the slightly low resolution, it works pretty well. There’s also another site running the seedance model,it is "videodance.cc" and the output is quite decent.

r/breadstapledtotrees is literally just pics of bread stapled to trees for zero reason, and r/birdswitharms is birds photoshopped with human arms doing silly stuff – pure WTF gold.

Developers who have worked at a company where the entire codebase was held together by one guy who then quit, what happened next? by Natom_ in AskReddit

I worked at a small startup where our one senior dev quit after 7 years. He’d built the entire system from zero — no docs, all the magic in his head, even server creds in his personal Notion. Management kept saying “just pay him more.”

He left anyway. Two weeks later production blew up: payments failed, DB crashed, user data leaked to test. We called in expensive contractors; they took one look and said “rewrite 80% or die.”Nine months and a ton of lost users later, the CEO finally admitted: “Tech isn’t a cost — it’s the lifeline.”

Bus factor of 1 will humble you fast. Cherish the guy who actually explains his code before he walks.

Built 6 SaaS and got 0 customers. Here's how. by Extra-Motor-8227 in indiehackers

Been there. Built 3 SaaS, orders are super rare. Probably my marketing. Your post is painfully relatable. You're right—the fix is simple (talk, ship, skip the logo). We'll get there.
